I bought the snap on set of grip on pliers and I like the quality of my "made in usa, with global components" Vise grips far better.

I tried a Husky and a craftsman and was very disappointed, they had very little torque and would stop if I applied too much pressure. I bought a HF one and it is awesome! Had it for a few years now and it works great, very powerful.

Has anybody came up with a way to test them yourself?

I hate 1/2" socket sets that start at a really small size, I never use 1/2" drive for anything under 3/4". Most 1/2" drive worthy SAE work can be covered with 3/4, 7/8, and 15/16. Also, those sockets cover 19mm, 22mm, and 24mm respectively. I would just buy individual sockets.

My Gearwrench sockets are of amazing quality, ***** that they look way better than my american made sk and craftsman.

For those of you who own this style of wrench, do you prefer the box end to be offset or centered?

Ooh, those are nice, but I want to see what else is out there. I'm not in need of this style of wrench very often so I didn't really want to spend truck brand money.

This kit works great when you need a low profile setup, that's pretty much the only time I ever use it.

I've had a Miller Spectrum 625 for a few years and I love it. I've never had to cut anything thicker that 3/8" but I like having the ability to.

Cool, thanks for sharing. I have a Snap-on TL-72, the long thin handle is very uncomfortable, I was thinking about doing the heat shrink tubing, but looking at your other pics, I wonder if I would be able to fit something else on the end like a nut driver handle. Or does anyone know if snap-on...

I remember seeing a post or thread on here a while back where a guy used what I think was battery cable heat shrink tubing on the ends of his ratchets for a DIY comfort grip. Anybody have a link to that thread or anybody else do this? Thinking about trying it.

Haha, I was just wondering the same thing today when I was looking at my pristine 13/16 sockets and wrenches.

I have been very impressed with gearwrench sockets, and increasingly more disappointed with craftsman quality. I just bought a set of 1/2" drive deep sockets and was disgusted with the quality, going to be returning them this weekend.

Which one did you buy? I'm looking into getting a pressure tester soon.

That's a bit extreme haha! Besides wouldn't a wrench machined from billet steel, no matter the alloy and heat treat be weaker than a high quality forged wrench?
