    AFM/DFM De-Activators

Regarding my sons Silverado, he does little extended highway driving where the 8/6/4 could "possibly" help with mileage. His MPG actually went up slightly ~ 1-2 mpg after disabling it. And he checks his MPG religiously and drives the speed limit everywhere. One-size fits all rarely fits all.....

    AFM/DFM De-Activators

On my sons 2014 I bought him the "boost" brand. 130,000 so far and no issues. We installed the disabler at around 75,000 miles. In contrast we have 6-1500 Silverado's at work and they won't install the device. Out of the 6 trucks, we have replaced cam and lifters in 5 of them..... Best $250 ever...

Above 1200 Sq/FT Finally Building my Barn, 32'x56'

I did think about joining the two buildings and actually had a design drawn up to include an expansion joint. Then I would have a garage door separating the two. I abandoned it after the town wanted it all re-engineered as I didn't include it in my original plans. Who knows, it might happen...

Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT The Texas Barn in PA

When you said earlier in the thread that the steel came from a company out of Georgia with branches all over, I Knew it was Dmac. We buy roof decking from them, very good company to deal with.

Ideas wanted - reworking floor and configuration of barn for car stuff

That upstairs is majorly cool. Any planned use up there (wedding venue etc.) ? If not, I would reduce the mezzanine and put in one set of stairs on the back wall. That should give you room for a lift in line with the big door. The stairs that are there are great for a lot of traffic, but not...

    Service Pit

I have one in the garage of the house we bought last year. It was covered by boards that recess into a ledge when we bought the property, and I only removed one board to look into it once. It was dry thankfully, but no steps or permanent ladder. Don't know if I'll ever use it, haven't really...

Menard's Display to Bodywork Cart Conversion

Looks great. The only thing I would do differently is to mount my 110V Mig on the bottom shelf and build a tank holder on the back as it already has the offset steel for the casters back there. Nice project.

    10x14 panel door pricing (current)

You are correct, I missed that that included removal and install. The quote's look like the install etc are on top of the door price. Mine was for DIY, I installed it myself and never priced it for install.

    10x14 panel door pricing (current)

I guess it comes down to quality, but those prices seem crazy to me. This is the one I just bought this summer for the new barn. This is an R 12.9, they do offer an R18.4 for $300 more.

Alright leaf people, what's the best way

Cyclone Rake. I have the XL version that I tow behind my JD X500. I can vacuum the lawn spotless if desired, thing is awesome. Use the 20' hose for beds, ditches etc.

Above 1200 Sq/FT Finally Building my Barn, 32'x56'

Got the gable end wrapped, base flashing on, and corners installed. Doing it all off a ladder, by myself, is killing the already bad knees. Looking like I'm going to get a lift to do the soffit adapter, j-channel, and gable panels. I think the soffit and fascia will most likely be next spring...

    2 post 12000lb car lift Stratus SAE-C12XE

At this point I would ask them to take the "demo" unit back if you paid the difference for a brand-new not discontinued unit. Expect to pay your installer twice and be done with it. ***** for sure, but not sure I would trust anything with this lift. Wishing you luck however it pans out.
