    Noel 'Papaw' Hankamer RIP

Jim, I am not able to be accepted to the Tool Talk website. The ratchets I am collecting are basically between the Box head and the 44995 polished. Some pictures of your case study would be great. I'm not really sure what the Type 4 is.

I have been working on a collection of Craftsman ratchets. I am almost there. I only need a #44995 to complete my collection. Now that I am close to finishing I find myself looking closer at the models I already have. I have acquired maybe 6-7 of the #43784-43785 teardrops. A visual would...

Thanks. There both 1/4 inch. The RHFT has three bearings. Two by the pawl, and a broken one by the socket release button.

Craftsman Ratchet - Need Bearing help

They are both apart. The tri wing needs a single bearing by the pawl. The RHFT has two bearings near each Pawl that are OK. It's the single bearing below the release button that broke.

Craftsman Ratchet - Need Bearing help

I enjoy taking an old ratchet and cleaning it up, lubing it and putting it back into service. Even if the plating comes off in spots if it is still serviceable I will use it. Recently I have come across some ratchets that need bearings. I once saw a post where the author listed the correct...
