    Harry J Epstein Day 2026

These are great screwdrivers, wish they still made them. For some reason the phillips versions with the same handle are hard to find.

Coming to L.A /L.V what harbour freight is the best ?

Petersen museum has a basement, but you have to make arrangements to view it. I'm told it's worth it. For the proper experience, seek out a HF that has been there a while, with the proper worn floors and more vintage feel. Some of the new stores feel to upmarket.

I'm happy SBD bought Craftsman from Sears

Had a 5 year old Craftsman ratchet lock up at the junkyard. SBD sent the same Overdrive ratchet to replace it. It doesn't fit into the blowmolded case, but the SBD USA ratchet does.

How do I transport this thing?

Is it for sure on a pallet? The 52" version is just wrapped in a box and fits in the back of a Durango.

Gray Tools (Canada) - AMAZING WARRANTY SERVICE

I have the long handle variation of that ratchet, and I think the regular too. I like them, not as easy to source here. Zoro has some selection of Gray.

    ICON slip joint plier

People rave about these, and I didn't understand why they would be better in many situations, but I bought some at a reasonable price. I can't explain it, but they just work really well. Channellock/Wilde/someone should bring them back. HF around here never has the long nose ones in stock. I...

I have the craftsman set, and liked them enough to acquire a second set for the house... Craftsman for metric, and Dewalt for sae iirc. Definitely the same apart from cosmetics, but the sockets on the Dewalt slide all over the rail, go figure. Seems like stock comes and goes for some of the V...

Anybody have the HF 3 shelf roll cart?

I've had the 2 shelf version for a few years. It's held up fine, except the paint peeled off in comically large sheets. I drilled some drain holes in the shelves. The 3 shelf model seemed a lot sturdier in store, and likely more useful. I'd buy another (3 shelf) if I had the room.

Can I use these palm sanders for auto body/paint work, and to strip interior paint?

Oh i'd just put a sanding disc on the DA for that. idk about strip discs on something as thin and large as a hood.

Can I use these palm sanders for auto body/paint work, and to strip interior paint?

Those probably wont hold up to that much sanding, and the 1/4 sheet sander are annoying to reload. The RO would be fine for sanding a couple panels, but stripping a car to bare metal is asking a lot of it. The Bosch R0S20VSC is nice. Stripping discs on the DA you have should do something. A...
