Thanks for the input guys. I have dust collection that I use regularly (main dust collector as well as festool extractors at handheld tools) which helps greatly but there is always some dust no matter what. It sounds like I'm overthinking it and it may not be a big problem. Thanks!

Yes- agree that mounting up high isn’t optimal but I’m worried about tripping over it or something flammable inadvertently being leaned in front of it in the ground by me or my kids. It’s working fine so far but probably won’t be my permanent solution.

Looking great so far! I’m nailing the heck out of it. Narrow boards get 2 16ga face nails and the wider boards get 3 face nails. Sturdy enough- plus if I anchor shelving I know where the horizontal girts are to fasten to anyway.

Yes- there is an air gap in the scissor trusses between the top side of the insulation and the roof sheathing as well as soffit/ridge vent as appropriate to move air up there. It just doesn’t look like it in the photo.

Me too- I couldn't justify the price for T&G originally but found a guy who milled and dried this himself so the price was lower. Plus, he happened to have just about the right square footage remaining so I couldn't say no.
