    welding pinholes in sheetmetal,TIG?

If metal isn't perfectly spotless with a tight fit up TIG is really hard to work with. It keeps getting bubbles in it . MIG is way better for this. I have a finger control for my TIG that I don't use, it's really hard for me to control it that way, pedal is much easier.

Imperial Journey - a Restoration Saga

Nice work! I've been doing some upholstery work on my truck lately and sewing a straight line is damn near impossible for me. I don't have a walking foot machine though. I wouldn't dare try what you are doing.

2016 Mustang GT with a 1967 Fairlane body

Doing your own power windows is the worst, one of the more challenging jobs on my project.

That looks like fun! I suppose you had to keep everything connected to the can bus.

Check my schematic for limit switches

Not about garage wiring, hope this post isn't out of line. Wiring power universal window in my truck and want limit switches to prevent strain on the motor. I came up with this schematic, anyone see a problem with it?

Dust and fume control for hobby scale TIG/etc

If you're getting much smoke with tig the weld is so dirty it won't weld properly anyway, tig is super finicky about perfect cleanliness. I use a painters mask kind of like the one above or more often a good fitting n95 for grinding and cutting. I like the 3m 9210+ for comfort and fit.

    Paint assembled or disassembled?

I don't like those suits either, just don't breath at all. Also super baggy so I had to tape up the arms so I didn't get it in the paint.

    Paint assembled or disassembled?

If I did a solid color it would be single stage and I would paint it all apart.

cutting sheet metal sheet with a circular saw and a jig

That Diablo blade works fine. It does throw out some sharp little metal bits so wear some thick cloths, gloves and face shield.

Welding issues now with older eyes

I thought it was a light issue, no it's that I can't focus that close anymore. I wear progressive lenses and throw a cheap 3.25 reader over them, the two together let me get in real close. I need to check out the mag lens for the helmet.

    66 F100 Rustomod

I love my 12 inch disc sander for exhaust work. Maybe the most used power tool I have, an old Harbor Freight one. I would have bought a better brand if I had know how hard I would use it.

1966 F100 EcoBoost Engine Swap (EcoBoosted)

I've thought about my exposer to chemicals over the years from my car hobby. All the nasty paint and cleaners, massive amounts of fine powder plastic from sanding body filler and paint, grinding disc dust.... the list goes on. Our skin is permeable and the lungs are not made for it either...
