Love getting unusual vintage pliers because you can get all sorts of shapes that would come in handy. I once left a handful of Barcalo pliers in a dollar bin, including a pair of the parrot-beak ones (as pictured). Could kick myself for that!

I've only been here a short time, but I'd like to chime in with the rest and say that it's more about the hunt than anything else. My beautiful beloved is the same way with old-school Pyrex and '70s decor.

I want to jump in and say I'm a proud believer in the Robogrips. I have one pair and every so often they fit the bill perfectly. I actually like them so much that I'd like to get the other 2 sizes.

Incidentally, I've been less afraid of rust and "patina" since I got a jug of evaporust and my electrolysis bath set up. Really brings the life back into tools that were otherwise destined for the scrap pile and it feels great to use them when you're done.

My personal experience is that Berlin and Vineland (if you ever get down this way) are definitely Sunday flea markets. Gotta be ready to wheel & deal if you really want to do well.

I'm only starting my journey, and my interest is mostly in 'user' tools, so I can absolutely promise you that. That said, for me, the closest are Vineland, Berlin, and Columbus in that order. I'm pretty fond of Columbus for its size, but I wasn't aware that Thursday was the good day. Appreciate...

Those sturdy old scroll saws are excellent for running modified hacksaw blades. Good for getting nice cuts without a metal bandsaw. Slower than cold molasses, but hey, needs must when the devil drives, right?

Husky 30 gallon quiet vs. Kobalt Quiet Tech 26 gallon

Howdy fellas, Looking for something suitable for a home gamer. Naturally, I expect the detractors to say that oilless should be reserved for the already legally deaf, but they aren't as bad as they used to be. If anyone here owns either of these and has some insight, I'd appreciate the...

Anybody here own the max bite combination wrenches? Any thoughts? I've been eyeing them up from time to time, but finding it hard to pull the trigger.

    I lost a wrench...

Speaking of thin wrenches, anybody have that Husky set, or the comparable Capri tools thin wrench set?

    Good and proper C clamps

Curiously, as far as old clamps go, my best & most reliable one is made "SRI INDIA" (presumably built in Sri Lanka?) Never seen another like it, but I've given that thing a beating and it refuses to quit.
