What knife are you carrying today?

Like many I have a bunch of knives including several Spyderco, SOG, Buck, Cold Steel etc. Mostly because I've lost a couple over the years I usually carry a Ganzo, they are one of the best "cheap" knives made.

Suggestions for light/medium duty steel toe work boots in $150-200 range

When I bought my Thorogoods I almost went with the wedge sole just to try out, never had a pair of them. Seems like there were some negatives but I can't remember now what they were.

Suggestions for light/medium duty steel toe work boots in $150-200 range

I've owned Danner's for over 20 years, mostly the made in Portland ones and they last a long time if taken care of. If you want boots to hold up the best thing you can do is have a couple pairs and rotate them. My favorite Danner is the RAT and seeing they are surplus you can get a $400 pair...

Suggestions for light/medium duty steel toe work boots in $150-200 range

Lately I've been wearing Keen, Thorogood and Ariat. The Thorogood are great boots that should last a very long time, I don't have them fully broke in yet and they are quite stiff when new. They were also closer to $300 than 200. The Ariat fit me very well and I've been wearing them the most...

    Knipex Slim Knips

I've had such good luck with the Xcelite flush cutters I don't have much interest in these Knipex. I used to buy the small Klein flush cutters for the guys at the shop but they didn't hold up well at all. Klein was very good about replacing them though.

Looking for a quality benchtop mill

I agree 100% that is certainly a concern and one that easily could have been addressed when they were designed. Still a pretty good benchtop mill though even with this flaw.

    Need new flashlight

I have a boatload of lights and the one I've been using a lot lately is the Acebeam H16. It's not exactly what you're looking for but it's an amazing bright light and comes with a headband. For $20 you're not going to come close for the output and quality. Acebeam H16

    What is this wrench for?

The company, founded in 1868, was known for manufacturing heavy equipment, including machinery for mining, quarrying, and construction. Tools like these would have been specialized for maintaining their specific machinery. The wrench was made by the Sullivan Machinery Company. The company was...

    Decide Me an Air Compressor

I'm not a big HF shopper but I did buy the ITC when I bought my Predator 9500. It allowed me to get into the sale early, I was slightly concerned they might sell out. I think it was a $500 off sale. I did renew it a couple months ago because there are some decent sales and some free **** now...
