They're too bulky and costly to have around, they are a specialty tool and do have their place. And you probably can use them to take a wheel off too who knew

We don't use those they wont fit into most [all?] lug wells. Problem wheels get a 3/4" gun, a 56" breaker bar and some heat maybe.

Never broken a stud but - broken studs do get broken. Ive had lug nuts come off with my impact that that had the broken stud section still inside that nut. Maybe on heavy equipment with 1" + studs this isn't prone to happen, for several reasons usually trained personnel are tightening them in...

Adjust the line pressure up, at least for now and try it, and hold that thing on for a while. most shops use 150 or so psi w/ no issues. If a stud breaks at any point during removal its a good thing, that stud was no good from the start of removal anyway.

You have apropane or other type of torch? Im assuming a DGC has steel rims which wont be marred much by applying heat. Aside from that if a 30 second blast from an impact wont budge it, we're gonna need a bigger boat ;)
