Rust Bullet and flakes without Clear?

Just cleaned new garage floor prepping for Rust Bullet tomorrow. Question - can I do the 2 coats of Rust Bullet, then apply flakes. And not apply a clear coat? I remember when I did Epoxy-Coat about 8 yrs ago it was 1 coat, flakes, no clear. Thanks

    Mr Heater 45k or 75k ?

With these both on sale at Northerm, I'm ready to buy. Question is which size? My detached garage is 30x40 with a 10' ceiling. I have a small 12' "tray" ceiling over the lift area. Insulation is R13 in walls, R30 in ceiling. Garage doors are insulated, as are the 4 small windows. Richmond...

    2 Post Lift Suggestions

Last week I had a Bendpak XPR-10ACX installed, and I love it. Not sure of the exact height, but you could remove the drywall so the posts can tilt up, then put up new drywall.

    Garage finished

Guess its time to call it complete. Started this 40x30 last July. My 15 yr old son and I did all the work except for hanging the trusses and roof shingles. I did all the wiring. Used Epoxy-Coat on the floor. Looks great & spills clean up super easy. I orgininally had a 10 foot ceiling with...

    Lift Wiring Help please

Finally got it done - I attached a metal mud extension to the plastic box, then a metal extension box to that. Then ran MC over to the lift. At the lift I attached a small box with a 25a breaker, and ran MC from there to the motor. Worked out good. I'll create a new post about the lift itself...

    Lift Wiring Help please

Just had my BendPak XPR-10ACX installed yesterday. Jeff & the folks at BendPak were great during my research phase and hooked me up with a local installer. Looks great. Now the issue I made for myself - I wired the new garage last year and put a dual gang plastic box in the wall near where the...

    Sealing OSB workbench top?

I had a few sheets of 3/4" tongue & groove OSB left over from attic floor, so I used it as my work bench top. Seems like it might be a good idea to seal it with something. Any recommendations? Thanks, Ron

    Performance Epoxy -Epoxy coat project!

Just ran my hand across the dry floor, still feels slick. I may have diluted the acid too much. So I'll run to Lowes and buy more Muriatic acid and do it again. thanks

    Performance Epoxy -Epoxy coat project!

Beancounter, I see you did gallon batches. I was concerned that there wouldn't be enough working time before it hardened but i guess it was fine. My 1200 sf floor is broken up into six 13x15 sections by saw cuts. Would be helpful if I could mix just enough to do each section at a time. I have 3...

What is the best epoxy coating(s)

Acryliseal seems like a good option to get a glossy look. How does it stand up to hot tires and gasoline spills? thanks

    Lift & expansion joint

Got this from Jeff at Bendpak: The base plates are designed with four anchor holes towards the rear backside edge and two anchor holes towards the front edge, one positioned at each of the front corners. The two front edge (or anchor holes closest to the lifting arms) are not as important as...

    Lift & expansion joint

I have 4" of 3500psi. The base plates will probably span the joint. I'll call Bendpak later today. Thanks

    Lift & expansion joint

The cut is about 3/4" deep, floor is 4" thick. I misspoke above, its right where the bases would bolt down.
