I would think being very thick is the whole point of a safe if it's good quality material? I'll see how it plays out, if I can only get $100 I will more then likely just keep it for now and store stuff in since it is somewhat unique and has some history for my family.

Yes its very well built and stout, that is for sure, especially when you feel and see it in person. Talk to me, were both in Kentucky. With a little forethought I am sure moving it wouldn't be to much trouble.
