    Harbor Freight Coupon Thread

Am I the only one that seems to get the run-around when I use a coupon online to get a decent deal? I ordered a dust collector with a 20% off coupon May 28 and keep getting notifications that they're backordered and delivery will be delayed until they get stock. But every couple days it will be...

Where's all your...stuff? I see all these incredible garages, and this space is no exception, but they've all managed to hide all their clutter - where? That's the missing link for me. I have too much stuff that supports my hobbies or just general household overflow taking up garage space. I...

Making some tools and repairing a radio.

He saved a Dual installed in a 4th gen Camaro - talk about charity work! (I've owned 4 F-bodies, the last two were 4th gens) Good work and great detail. I just pulled a 22" LCD TV someone was using as a computer monitor that is no longer powering on. I took it apart and gave it the once-over...

Anyone want to help me buld a bench?

I like my Simpson StrongTie bench. Just a small pile of straight-cut 2x4 and some screws. http://www.strongtie.com/products/DIY/KWB.html I customized mine just a bit by adding a shelf for my shopvac and some 5gal buckets that would also be high enough to slide my jack and jack stands under.

My first 2 car working garage 23x21

Finished the lighting a little while back. Cheap Walmart LOA 4ft T8 in pairs and leftover 4ft T12 up front (since I already had them and bulbs, didn't want to toss em out). They all (LOAs) had pullchains but I removed the switch from two and left two on the ones that get covered by the garage...

My first 2 car working garage 23x21

Just a small update. I've had lots of projects to work on over the last 4 months and haven't been able to focus on the garage much. I did build a workbench, install new lighting, add electrical in key locations with a dedicated circuit for the compressor and welder, install new fascia lanterns...

    work benches... from scratch

Jack, I completely agree. I went with 24" for those reasons - plus it was a great way to double up a 4x8 sheet of ply - just cut it in half.

How do you guys feel about windows in a detached garage?

You can have windows and natural light but still restrict people from seeing in. Here is my thread on the subject http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=46266
