    Air compressor identification

That makes sense, for some reason I thought I had seen more around and it was a kellog, curtis, quincy, SB, kind of brand. I must have associated the colors with them or something. Guess I'm back on the hunt.

    Air compressor identification

Looks like its working now, maybe its a no name and I'm just getting my wires crossed, lost of older compressors seem to be that blue/green/silver color from my searching.

    Air compressor identification

Looking at picking up a larger air compressor to replace my smaller single stage unit. This one popped up in the local classifieds, I swear I have seen this brand(i thought it said AB and this grey.blue/green color) before but after an hour of googling I cant seem to find any that have a similar...

    Decent Tile Saw?

I also have he ridgid 7 incher don't have any complaints, its been through 6-10 large bathrooms and about as many kitchens and floors. I usually go through blade or two a year, I very much prefer the tray kind to the table saw kind some were recommending. Only is a drag if you are cutting real...

What brand power tools do the pros use in your area?

I'm a GC I have mainly ridgid 18v cordless with 12v milwaukee. For corded mixed bag but generally dewalt for miter/ table saws and milwakee for the rest. Ive had good luck with my ridgid tile saw however. As for what I see around its a mixed bag I would say predominantly dewalt and Milwaukee...

Son maybe buying a house, Has some Asbestos

This is really good advice and pretty much what I do when I encounter it. It's not as bad as its made out to be and was extremely prevalent in pretty much every form of insulation and friction material(clutch, brake pads) before the mid 80's. Once you understand why and how it can be dangerous...

    Suggestions for drill press

Depends what you want floor standing or bench? How big are the holes you will be drilling? For wood pretty much any drill will have the speeds to drill any hole, for metal though the slower the drill the larger the hole it can drill without burning up bits. I have the big hf drill...

Snap ring pliers for a turbo rebulid?

Those look the same as the second amazon link I posted. According to the reviews they aren't straight, they have an angle to the fingers, which would make them non-usable to for me.

Snap ring pliers for a turbo rebulid?

I had a pair sitting right next to the turbo for a week while I've been looking for the "correct" pliers. I'll pickup a extra set and grind them and try them, thanks for the idea. Don't know how I didn't think of that, I'll update tomorrow only way I see it not working is if the pins that engage...

Snap ring pliers for a turbo rebulid?

I need a set of snap ring piers that are long and thin for an internal snap ring. The snap rings are very small and the grove for it is about 2.5 inches deep into the hole that is roughly .75 around. None of the snap ring pliers(hf cheapies) I have have a long enough reach or are thin enough...

How much torque do I need in an impact wrench for DIY work?

Ya it is much easier to bring tools to where the job is than the job to you. Also nice not having to drag the hose around. I'm not sure how the 1.5 would do way too many variables, if you made me guess I would say between 5 and 50. It will get the job done but it may be a bit annoying having...

How much torque do I need in an impact wrench for DIY work?

I was in a similar situation late least year. I had a few ridgid 18v tools and was looking at getting a cordless impact. I was tempted to jump ship and go red but it seemed like it was always more expensive to go red for the same tool. I was pushed over the edge with combo kit around xmas gen5x...

    avE channel on Youtube

Pretty much hit the nail on the head with this I don't care about the un-boxing its funny the first time then just blah. Seems imo that his channel is kind of stagnate as of late and much more fillers and less tool boltrs. What really "exposed" him in my mind was when he called out real tool...

    Floor Jack Reliabilty

I bought a Daytona a little over a year ago when the first came out (some time last fall/winter 2016/17). I don't have much of anything bad to say about it it gets used frequently in a restoration of my 1952 power wagon(think f450). It has lifted whatever I asked and even held a few 1000...
