    What Did I Buy?

Just bought this neat little torch off eBay because I couldn't resist it. It's a Marquette Aerojet GW4-1-9 with a GW4 5-1 cutting head and many attachments. I'm no welder just want to use it in my restoration work on my 1917 Maxwell. Have heard this called an aircraft or radiator torch but don't...

Delta 8 inch Model 11-950 Bench Drill Press

I just got this used drill press that works great but seems to have some excess movement in the chuck. Has anyone here ever had this model apart? How hard is it to disassemble and replace the bearings? Thanks, Howard Dennis

    Any Stanley Experts?

I just picked up this toolbox with some tools and literature and was wondering if anyone could give me a value on it? It appears to be from about 1954. The label and contents slip calls it a # 895 "Better Home Kit". Howard Dennis

    Eagle oil can?

Thanks Guys, I have to say I'm at least sure this lid was with this can since it was painted as the paint and dirt patina are a perfect match. No other markings and I'm also sure this is the factory paint. The Eagle marking comment got me to wondering, so I went out to the garage to look at an...

    Eagle oil can?

Thanks Don, I never thought of that, bet your right. I used to fool around with stationary engines years ago and had forgotten some of the big ones used more oil than you would care to thumb from a pump oiler. Howard Dennis

    Eagle oil can?

Thanks, I 'll post a picture tomorrow of the back. It's actually 15 inches and I keep it to remind me to curb those impulse buys. I paid $12.00 at an antique mall and figured I got a steal as how many could still be around? Turns out 1938 must have been a very good year for Pontiac. I think...

    Eagle oil can?

I recently acquired this oil can marked Eagle Made in U.S.A.. It appears to be one of the old railroad oilers but there is no pump. Does anyone know it's purpose and approximate age? Thanks, Howard Dennis

    Stanley Tool Idenity

Well just as you guys predicted I found out what it was through the folks at Papawswrench who posted it at Sawmill Creek Woodworkers Forum: "This is a No. 694 Half Circle File Holder for a "Vixen" file for auto body work. You will find it in the 1939 Catalog #139. Tool not included in Walter's...

    Stanley Tool Idenity

Howdy, I was sent here by the folks at H.A.M.B. to try and solve this mystery: I've tried in vain to identify this Stanley tools age, use and value. So far it's split between woodworking, plastering and auto body lead work. My guess is lead work. Can anyone here give me definitive answers so I...
