I had a late 80's mohawk system I, 9000lb lift, installed on Wednesday. They revamped these later installing valving to help with equilization of the 2 posts and further brace them half way up the posts, making them 10,000lb capacity. This is the system I as it is sold today..

If you can actually come up with something definitive, rather than just assumptions, against PEX, I'd love to hear it..
