    The wire seems to be copper and is designed to be pulled out a little at a time. I would guess there is a few feet of wire. My guess is from the mid 50's to early 60's. It shows no sign of being used.

    Yes...quite often. Most Chinese Home Depot type of equipment...Grizzly products etc. use them on every thing. Log splitters, tillers, chippers, everything Asian you buy.

    2-1/16" by 7/8" with a 1-1/4 bore. Dark black material...can not see threads. I did a quick measurement, I'm sure it's metric.

    There was a similar thread like this a few years ago...one member said he used a plastic 5 gal. bucket. I thank him for that suggestion every time I grab the gun and see the **** on the bottom. Take care..CB
