Used Snap-On electric impact - Bad idea?

The CT861 is the later brushless version and supposedly more reliable, I’ve had two used 861’s for around equivalent of 130USD that are both excellent; that said I have had at least five of the older CT761 which I’ve picked up for 60 - 70USD that have been problem free. New casings are sold...

2026 Garage Sale Thread (15th Annual)

Snap on screwdrivers are the “ Soft grip“ screwdrivers from around 2000-2005, the design was then superseded by the current “Instinct soft grip” screwdrivers, apart from the range of ratcheting screwdrivers which are still the “Soft grip” design to this day.

Did snap on make blue hardhandles

I’ve tried the hard handles but they just seem an afterthought- the square profile means they are only comfortable to me in four positions. I haven’t tried the new Cynergy/ 100 tooth hard handles (and probably unlikely to as I got rid of the two new 100 tooth ratchets I had as didn’t get on with...

    Snap-on 1/2" Drive x 36" SN36 Breaker Bar?

The SN36 has a larger diameter shank than the 24” so it a bit stiffer. I’ve actually got two, a chrome handle and soft grip, I must sell one really.

I have never broken a single Snap...

Latest manufacture date for Snap-on British Standard Sockets

Snap On only manufactures their BS wrenches in the “short” pattern now, which is no good for my requirements. Although I do have the complete set of what is still available from Snap On, my larger wrenches are mainly old stock Britool and Hazet.

Latest manufacture date for Snap-on British Standard Sockets

I have a full set of late 1990’s 3/8” drive Snap On BS sockets which are Flank Drive broaching, vast majority of their BS sockets were non flank drive, even with 90’s date code and modern logo - it has taken me ages to get a Flank Drive set, and even then the 1/4” BS socket in my set is non...
