Do you work in the power industry? Standard hardware on heavy equipment till it went metric still is 5/8” bolts are 15/16” tools and 3/4” are 1 1/8”. 7/8” are 1 5/16” and 1” fasteners are 1 1/2”. This whole thread has been derailed by suggestions for larger size tools. Believe me I have been...

I was referring specifically to bolt size not socket size. 5/8” bolts normally use 15/16” tools and 3/4” bolts use 1 1/8”

I agree that 1” is a little used size but older medium duty truck and some 1 tons used that size on wheel nuts

When you get to 5/8” bolts and larger you should be in 1/2” drive or larger territory for proper torque let alone tool longevity

I’ve seen off road tire guys put 4-6 large plugs into scraper tires and they held for years

When I was still working these wrenches were some of the first ones I would grab when I was in the field working out of a truck. Have a socket and a wrench in one unit = less **** to carry to a machine. By the way mine were Mac and went up to 1 1/8”. Can’t find them that big anymore

One set is in an old 1” drive socket box and the other is in an old porta-power box. Heavy as hell. Only have one now because I gave one set to my son

I have 2 full sets of combo wrenches up 2” all USA bought 1 or2 at a time from co workers retiring or garage sales. Only bought 1 new a Snap-on 1 1/2. Years ago I think was $100 and thought that was nuts. Most are Mac Snap-on S-K and Williams.

350B?? Those things really vibrate with the 3 cylinder engine. Use locktite on everything. Keep the 4big bolts on rear of transmission case tight. Had one break into once because 2 of the 4 bolts fell out and operator didn’t know

Hertz or frequency is more important than voltage. I had to adjust my generator speed after installing a new carb. Set it at 61.9-62 at no load. When under load it was 59.7 at about half load. Around 5KW on a 10KW generator. This gen has about 1350 hours on it and it’s only 2 years old. Replaced...
