    Looking at subcompact/compact tractors.

I have an LS MT240 and it's been pretty good. It really depends on your property. With the 40hp, I have to deal with emissions (DPF) and I've had what I feel are excessive regens, but the tractor has done everything I've asked of it. 2k+ lift capacity, front hydraulic auger, lane shark, grapple...

Liftmaster or Chamberlain Garage Door opener sensor voltage

We recently took a lightning strike that killed all my garage door openers. I had liftmasters (3280M) from 2010. I replaced them with wall mount Genie openers which are pretty cool, but I have an issue. I use some old discontinued (also from 2010) liftmaster laser parking assists, and they are...

Adding screw magnet to impact driver

I have new Ryobi brushless impact drivers. The old ones, had a magnet built into the lower area where the battery connects, that space is now used by an LED and a mode selector. I miss having a place to hold screws on the tool. I was wondering if adding magnets to the side motor housing would...

    Mason String holder

@mogandave Seemed to work out well, thanks. Not sure if a new full roll will fit, but a lot sure will. I grabbed a couple 9" reels from basspro https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/114822 before after

    Mason String holder

that might fit the bill, thanks. I ordered one to try. Hoping it holds quite a bit, as mason string is a lot thicker than most fishing line.

    Mason String holder

we use mason string now and then for setting up projects around our property, and we try to reuse it whenever possible. I can't rewind it well on the original tube, I've used sticks, and a few other things, but my wife is now vetoing all my current and past ideas. I've even tried the ones that...

    Keeping cheap LED lights connected?

some electrical tape around the outside of the joint, might be just enough resistance to stop them from separating over time. I have 60+ of those same style lights, and all but 3 are run with cords between, but of those 3 with the solid joint connector between I have also had it come apart. The...

Adding LED Lights to existing tractor wiring

What's the factory fuse value for that headlight circuit?

Adding LED Lights to existing tractor wiring

current/amps yeah, that's the main thing. 16ga should be good for 13a. Like a chain, the weakest point of the circuit will cause the issue. The switch is "probably" a 20a switch, you can probably pop it out and see the model number and pop it into google to see the specs. One of the reviews on...

Adding LED Lights to existing tractor wiring

I put 2 of those exact same Nilight 4" LED bulbs on the back of my tractor (put a 20" front facing on the ROPS.) I just went and put a meter on them and the little ones draw 1.25a each, so 2.5a per pair. Since you are already running LEDs headlights, you probably have plenty of circuit capacity...

Looking for a quality “third hand” soldering holder.

20 years working in electronics, retired and finally decided to buy my own, had it a couple months, really helpful, and much better than the ones that have 2 clips that just slide on a single bar. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MDKXNPC/?tag=atomicindus08-20

US General Tool Storage - Still best bang for the buck?

same reason I went with (2) 44s instead of (2) 56s. I would have preferred the longer drawers of the 56, but the 44 had the best configuration with more thin drawers and less wasted space for my needs.

US General Tool Storage - Still best bang for the buck?

@GeoBruin sweet looking setup, I like the custom cut outs in the work surface to fit over the lip. As for matching, I caught the last day of a 15% off HF sale, took 2 trips and 3 different HF stores to get all the parts, dusk to dawn lol

US General Tool Storage - Still best bang for the buck?

I sure hope so, I just redid my garage setup lol I really liked my old setup, but I needed more storage space. I lean toward more muted colors, so I liked the stainless. Out with the old, the Stanley boxes holding the workbench and the left most tool chest are about 18 years old, and the right...

    Shelf mod/addition for tool chest?

thanks all. Thinking about it, I am envisioning something like riveting some aluminum angle stock (dissimilar metals?) near the top and around a drawer. creating a ledge for the shelf to sit flush on. Then cutting a narrow piece of maybe using 3/8" or 1/2" birch (hardwood) plywood and fixing...
