Northern Tool Powerhorse or PrincessAuto PowerFist Wood Chipper “Fixed “

I put new blades, anvil and reset gap between. .8-1mm as explained in a powerking manual. Seemed to be same machine. The machine chips like new again. IDK why but the new blades are at 30 degrees and I sharpened the old ones to 34 degrees. Now that I have results, I’m going to sharpen the old...

Northern Tool Powerhorse or PrincessAuto PowerFist Wood Chipper “Fixed “

IDK. I should have taken a photo but I assumed they would only go in one way. I tried that today. The gap is 1mm. It’s pretty violent… bigger limbs bouncing around but,it will chip 5”stuff. It pulls little branches in quickly. It still doesn’t seem correct. I just got a new set of blades and...

Northern Tool Powerhorse or PrincessAuto PowerFist Wood Chipper “Fixed “

I worked on it again today. The blades are sharp and back in the position that was suggested in the 1st photo. I have the anvil gap at 1.5 mm. I know a lot of big drum chippers are set at 3mm. It pulls in smaller material pretty good. It won’t chip anything over about 2 inches without a lot...

I don’t remember. I should have paid more attention. I thought I had them like the photo that NT gave me. NT support doesn’t have a maintenance manual 😡 and all they did was guess. I have the gap set at 1mm. What model do you have?

Northern Tool Powerhorse or PrincessAuto PowerFist Wood Chipper “Fixed “

SKU: 115061 Anybody have one of these 5-inch chippers? I have new blades in it and the wood just bounces on the blades. It’s like they’re in backwards but, the support guy sent me a photo. The blade angle is facing out. He said to set the anvil(bed blade) clearance gap to 1 mm. The belts are not...

What have I missed doing my GFCI troubleshooting?

1st. This is 3 wire pre-2008 sub panel. The GFCI keeps tripping. I pulled the breaker and ohm the 8 outlets. No shorts or opens. With nothing plugged in and yes I wired it so all receptacles are in my shop. It trips once a week. No amps per my Field piece. Will a GFCI work in a 3 wire feed...

What product to make a concrete patio look better?

I have a patio that is about 75% covered with an aluminum roof. It does get windblown rain on it and 25% is uncovered. We want to do something with it aesthetically. My wife would like something colorful. The concrete has Super Seal 25 a solvent-based acrylic sealer that is 3+ years old. The...

Johnson Professional Aluminum 6ft level. Someone was sorry about losing that one. 1 Louisville and 1 Werner extension ladder (different days). A whole bunch of stuff like random sockets. Wife says I'm going to get run over stopping in the road. Last 3 items. Push mower (left in neighbor's...

    Oil for EndGrain

When I make cutting, charcuterie, or cheese boards I use Howard Products Butcher Block Conditioner. Mineral oil is OK to start. but you need a conditioner or wax food grade product to seal it. My 2 cents.

Anyone Want to Take a Gamble on a Very Cheap Made In China Chainsaw

A little “ratty” :). At least you are wearing it, I hope that wasn't from an accident. It freaks me out watching folks cutting without PPE. I'm all about being safe and might have worded my response better. Yesterday I watched a guy in a bucket, no ear or eye protection or harness. He one...

Anyone Want to Take a Gamble on a Very Cheap Made In China Chainsaw

Explain what is dumb about my serious question. Don't know why you would assume that I haven't used or own top handles. When you're climbing a 120 ft cottonwood with a saw hanging on your ****, come back and we can talk. Also, when you finish arborist training come back and talk too. I was...
