Hobart 140 has been the best machine for the money that ive ever used. I own a Loncoln 212 now and I still prefer the smaller machine.

Good eyes, they're 12" oc. It's taken a few 2x6x16 boards to frame this in. I'm pretty happy with how the carport has turned out. The second one is going up today.

So very very true, and for the record, I'm ready for spring already. It's been snowing every day this past week. I pushed the truss delivery forward to monday and with any luck the weather will cooperate. Gotta love Utah

Nicely done...I'm impressed with your level of skill. I wouldn't mind borrowing the paver idea, but it probably wouldn't last long with the winters around my area.

Thanks to all of you for nice compliments. I'm very pleased with quality of work preformed by the foundation contractor. Real professionals that care about their work can really make or break a project of this scope. I don't have the expertise to pick it up from here, so I'm still mulling over...

Floor is 4500 psi and was burned in smooth with a power trowel for several hours. They all worked their cans off, they started at 0730 and ended at 2300. I had them cut in the stress lines with a saw.

Well it's been a long time coming and it's finally underway. After months of planning, and several changes later. I'm building a conventional style detached 36' x 44' x 16' garage/shop. The garage is going to have 16' walls, an 18' x 14' door, two man doors and two 12' x 44' x 12' carports/lean...

A few thoughts have crossed my mind; 1) 4' tall cement block wall on that corner of the garage. 2) Extend the foundation up 4' on that corner. 3) Tongue and Groove exterior sheathing. Input?
