Here's what I've bought / printed that's worked well for me so far: Purchased: Air Filters Wattage meter (if you care to track your usage) Hygrometers (put one in the AMS and put one in each filament box / bag) Silica Beads (put these in my printed containers for inside the AMS) Cereal...

More Harbor Freight...this time a power tool drawer organizer. I don't have an HF box so this isn't a perfect fit, but it's not bad. Secured it with a couple of screws and it'll hold my tools just fine. May add another one for the other side. But, if anyone knows of a more modular solution...

    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

I've printed about 150 hours so far on my new Bambu X2D. This is an awesome printer and has a ton of capability, I'm still learning the ropes but it's not too hard to get up to speed. For anyone considering buying one of these, you should be prepared to order a few accessories at the same time -...

That's a great idea - I'd definitely check those out if you put the design up. I was originally thinking I'd buy the Grant's "Compact" Detail Seat but it really isn't very compact. I liked the trays on it though and may see about adding some holders for spray bottles and brushes to this Icon seat.

Picked up this Icon creeper seat. For $70, it's very solid. Frame is rigid, wheels roll nicely, even the cover is burly. Don't worry, bought a bunch of small stuff that was on sale to make myself feel better about paying full price for anything at HF.

I bought this 7" Rockwell grinder last year, but don't think I got around to posting it. I just changed out the casters on the base so they actually roll. With the new casters I'm into it for $95 and it spins smooth as could be. I don't use the grinder all that often so to be able to roll it out...

Socket Foam - Most Space Efficient?

For sockets, ratchets, and wrenches the Gridfinity is a no go. But for things like hammers or tools I want in their own individual bins I think it'll work well as something to anchor to.

Socket Foam - Most Space Efficient?

I'm not in a hurry either - hopefully get the top drawer setup next week. I used the OpenGridMount generator and was able to get the boards sized up so that they're a snug fit in the drawer (they tuck under the divider tracks on the edges of the Lista drawer). Was thinking about the setup for...

Socket Foam - Most Space Efficient?

How long did it take you to print your Tool Grid? I'm in the process right now...it's slow going. I think I've got 40 hours of print time into what's in the drawer right now, I anticipate it'll take 100 hours of total time to print the a single drawer of the base board. Maybe another 20 to do...

I needed more tool storage, decided I wanted industrial / modular cabinets. Found this pair of Lista cabinets on Marketplace - they needed a little bit of work but the price was more than fair. After a bit of grinding / rust removal on the undersides I coated the bottoms in rust converter and...

Thanks @draco_1967 @Jehannum @moab11. I printed some PLA just fine. I have PETG that I'd like to print soon, I'll dry that first and then store it after use. The AMS 2 Pro seems like it can dry the PETG just fine (once the external power cord for it shows up..) and print it all at once. I was...

I ended up buying a Bambu X2D - just got it set up last night and did some test prints in PLA. I'm drying a spool of PAHT-CF in the printer right now, and I'll test some prints with it this afternoon when it finishes. But, for those of you printing Nylon based filaments, how often are you...

Haven't posted any new tools in quite a while, was busy moving (and will have space for a better "shop" at home). But this is probably the most exciting recent purchase, a Bambu Lab X2D printer - just getting it calibrated now.

Just confirming other’s experiences, Wright no longer has a meaningful Warranty for their tools.

To me the answer is "it depends." With Snap-on, I am paying for them to warranty that (if I need) and they will. It's also really easy - can call, go online, or bring it onto the truck. I don't break a lot of tools so I am also willing to buy tools without a warranty or with one I don't intend...

Looks like it's around $900 with the Bambu AMS. I don't know how much multi-material printing I'll do but it seems like that could be nice to have. The heated chamber on the X2D actually looks like the standout feature for my uses over the P2S.

I want to buy my first 3d printer - I don't want to go overboard and buy a lot of functionality I don't need but it seems like these two are the top recommendations from friends: Bambu P2S Combo (with AMS) Snapmaker U1 The Bambu is $750 but seems to be offered at $650 sometimes. The Snapmaker...

This is one of the best tools Snap On makes. Lots of other brands seem to have copied them in the US but if you need leverage and can't use an impact this is tops. I like the comfort grip on this one too, especially as it generally ends up getting a lot more force than my smaller ratchets.

    MAC Tools sneak peak!

I thought so too, bought some, and they are fine. I don't perceive them to be substantially better than a set of Kleins. But they are very affordable at Japanese prices. Nothing comes close to Snap On screwdrivers IME - though given what they cost, nothing should be as good. I have wanted a...
