Gonna be worth the wait...Dad's new Garage

I have lurked on the FEforum in the past but I am a small block guy personally. The Fairlane was a small block 500....He had the 428 for about 20 years before he got the right car to put it in... I can't believe I can't find any complete engine shots. Here are a few others from the dyno and...

Gonna be worth the wait...Dad's new Garage

This is build is located in a VERY suburban nieghborhood. He had to jump through some hoops for sure. As I said, some people on the street have had some problems with trucks parked everywhere and some early morning weekend noise but it's almost done....Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Gonna be worth the wait...Dad's new Garage

Well he waited a long time but my Dad recently pulled the trigger on a new garage build. The old garage suffered from poor drainage, a bad concrete floor and of course, not enough space. The new one will cure those problems. A tree had to come down, the yard is trashed and some nieghbors are...

    Garage Door Opener info needed....

Thanks for all the replys. I will probably go back to Genie's, although I might try the belt drive. About the HP, the old ones were 1/3 is it worth it to step up to the 1/2 HP units? The 1/3's seemed to work OK, but I am a big fan of overkill. Thanks again...

So it’s time to replace the garage door openers. Any advice on brand, HP, chain or belt or any other ideas? Some info…currently I have Genie 1/3 hp chain drive openers which are about 20 years old, one just stopped working and the other isn’t far behind. By the way, my doors are 10’ wide and 8’...
