So this may or may not be an issue. The breaker for my entire garage is a 20A breaker. But the GFCI for the freezer in the garage is a 15A model. I am saying this because the plug doesnt have that extra horizontal notch that 20A outlets have. Could that be the issue? Do I need to replace the 15A...

I think I'll try the alarm. How loud is it? If I'm away from the house on a trip, will it annoy the neighbors?

The exterior one is a GFCI outlet tho.

Policy is in black and white. Active duty, 20+ yr retirement, or disabled vet get the discount all the time. Somebody that did a few years and separated get the discount only on CERTAIN days. Home Depot has the same policy. There is NO issue here.

The "baseboard" is actually a long piece of wood that is recessed from the sheetrock wall. Maybe I can pry that back. I have attic access, but wouldn't I have to run wire through the room above the garage and then down to the garage?
