well i've been slacking... we didn't get around to doing any painting until about a week ago. Too busy doing other things in the nice weather... we started by painting the plywood walls with 2 coats of Killz latex... this should help to kill/prevent mold from any moisture present in the garage...

Yes the covers came from Achtuning... I went to buy another set of them the other day and found out they no longer have them for sale and may not be having anymore made... my OCD wants me to have matching covers for all my tires lol! you were close... A5 S-line... other than not having a V8...

there is a cable attached to the safety release that is attached to a keyed lock accessable on the front of the door. When you unlock the lock it comes out of the door so you can tug it to trip the catch and disengage it from the motor.

not really... I have a catch on the motor's track that can disengage the door from the motor... the insulated door doesn't weigh a whole heck of a lot... I've tried and I can actually lift it pretty easily. I was more concerned about vandals/thieves/jealous types in my area than about windows...

Ended up going with R-19 fiberglass for the ceiling... it took us 2 days to do it... and then just to make sure it doesnt sag too much we added strapping... I may also use it to give me something to attach some R-10 foam board to next year. Up here in Maine a building shouldnt really have...
