    Can you answer this question?

I use Durhams rock hard water putty instead of plaster for making molds. It seems stronger and is easier to seal the pores. I have also used fiberglass resin to create some molds with. Take a look at the Alumilite products this stuff works really well for molds also...

I don't see why you're all down on these vintage tools with the awesome patina. He just didn't describe them correctly. With the right wording they are worth twice that.

    Electric heat

I have one very similar to that Dayton in my 20'x20' in central Iowa. I don't continually heat my garage but use it only when working in there. If it is real cold out I fire up my torpedo heater to bring it up to temp and then the electric heat does a great job of maintaining. I have 10'...

Golfers: Come on in with some storage ideas

I may have shown this before on a thread about fishing gear storage but it would work for clubs as well and makes use of a space otherwise ignored. Berkley rod holders mounted to overhead door and I use bungee cords to keep them in place when opened.

Not in garage but real close

What is the best way to go about cleaning oil stains from my driveway? I've got some spots from leaking cars being parked and from my kid changing his oil in the driveway that I want to get cleaned up. What is a good degreaser or detergent to use to lift the oil. I do have a 3000psi cold water...

    DIY elevator...

Years ago I worked in a shop that had an elevator made from modifying a garage door opener. It was used as a dumb waiter type thing to raise and lower parts from the storage room upstairs. Worked very well as I remember and had no problem lifting a couple hundred pounds.

    Made a Stack Cover

You did a great job fabing the cover. Personally I never have liked the look of stacks on a pick up. The OP is the first one I've heard give a legitimate reason for them though. Keep soot off his trailers and keep from fogging his horses and cattle. That makes sence. On a recent trip to southern...

    Electrical toolbox

Take a look at some fishing tackle boxes also. They work great for a small electrical kit. The removeable trays have adjustable dividers and are great for organizing connectors, auto fuses and small items. There are many different configurations to choose from, some having areas for larger items...
