I have garage deck in my home in Houston. I most definitely had static electricity issues with the tile. Didn't matter what I was wearing (leather soles, rubber soles, etc.).

The tile size is 12"x12". I don't think there will be much prep work, but then again I am not qualified to fully assess the prep work. Not sure what you are asking when you say install method. Thanks, Greg
