    Show off your lifts!!!

That's why I was asking, I know I've seen guys do it, or it looked like that in the pics. I've been extremely surprised/impressed at what my racedeck floor has held up to. My 5,000 lb truck sitting on jack stands for 6 months at a time, with the sharp metal edges sitting on the floor, not even...

    Show off your lifts!!!

you guys with race deck flooring and 4 post lifts, are you setting the lift bases right on top of the race deck, or cutting out the race deck to set the lift directly on the concrete floor? The pics I've seen looks like most are setting them right on top, but hard to see exactly. Looking to...

Which adhesive to use for PVC Coin Pattern Flooring on Plywood?

Just an update for folks for down the road that may stumble across this. I ended up using the green container, the multi-purpose. Worked great. Holds great, used it on both the main floor and the ramp door as well as the work bench. Understanding it nulls the warranty/guarantee side of things...

Which adhesive to use for PVC Coin Pattern Flooring on Plywood?

^good info, that's kind of what I was thinking. I'm not going to adhere the main floor. I'll have two 24' strips of Mac's Versa-Track bolted down which is going to hold the bulk of it in place anyway. I may get carpet strip tape to hold the sides down if it even needs it. The only part I'm...

Which adhesive to use for PVC Coin Pattern Flooring on Plywood?

Bump if anyone has any last final input on which of the pictured adhesives would be better to use. Hoping to tackle this project this weekend.

Which adhesive to use for PVC Coin Pattern Flooring on Plywood?

I understand the caveats and appreciate the official suggestion. Any insight from you or any other folks if any of the ones pictured are PVC safe acrylic based? I just can't justify spending more on adhesive than the piece of matting that covers the ramp door lol.

Which adhesive to use for PVC Coin Pattern Flooring on Plywood?

So I ordered an 8.5' x 24' roll of small coin pattern PCV flooring for my trailer floor (http://www.garageflooringllc.com/g-floor-small-coin-garage-mats/) and a 9' x 10' piece of levant pattern PCV flooring for my trailer ramp door...

    Enclosed Trailer Flooring Input

Sorry folks, haven't been around since I posted. Appreciate all the feedback though! I don't want diamond plate for several reasons. 1.) it's expensive (which I don't mind spending some money, but all the other things below are why I don't want to spend a decent chunk with all these caveats...

    Enclosed Trailer Flooring Input

Hey guys, I've got a 24'x8.5' enclosed trailer. Floor needs some TLC. Ceiling is vinyl, walls are still bare wood but will be getting paint on the upper half, indoor/outdoor carpet on the lower half (easier on car doors), the floor I'm undecided on. There's several oil stains, and a bunch of...

Looking for a ratchet with internal socket storage (ultra-portable set)

Been at this for several months now and have a pretty good system going with just as much capability as the guys lugging around 40 lbs of unorganized tools. I'll try to post a pic this weekend of what I ended up with. Few good ideas from this thread in between all the pointless posts saying just...

Looking for a ratchet with internal socket storage (ultra-portable set)

That's a pretty nice/compact setup. I like that one, too bad it's an overseas site. I'll have to try searching a bit more and see if I can find another source for it. those things ****, a gaint baseball sized ratchet head trying to fit on a 1/4" nut in an enclosed space, I'd rather carry...

Looking for a ratchet with internal socket storage (ultra-portable set)

Somebody find me this work of art!!! http://www.google.as/patents/US20110061499 There's also an article on ToolGuyd on the topic with some suggestions from there. http://toolguyd.com/ultra-compact-portable-tool-kit/#comment-462246

Looking for a ratchet with internal socket storage (ultra-portable set)

It's net weight I'm looking to minimize overall, not necessarily just the individual tools themselves. I don't care if the ratchet itself weighs a few ounces more, but overall less tools to carry = less weight on my back 60+ hours a week. Multitools minimize weight, but some are too...

Looking for a ratchet with internal socket storage (ultra-portable set)

Would love to see pics if you build one. My "company" is the gov, so most of the gov machinest/fab workers are either too lazy to do it, or wouldn't want to get caught doing something not on contract which I can't blame them for, so I can't make a science project out of a DIY one, although I do...

Looking for a ratchet with internal socket storage (ultra-portable set)

:lol_hitti haha that was too obvious for me to think of myself, I may just do that! That may work, but I can't weld, and I'm a tool junkie so I'd like something that still looks nice and not cobbled together lol Those are almost too nice/expensive to risk getting stolen. A $10 or $15...

Looking for a ratchet with internal socket storage (ultra-portable set)

YES! That's almost exactly what I'm looking for! Too bad it's so hard to find lol. I'll have to dig more later. This one is 1/4" drive, but it's metric, I need SAE: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000HE89KW/?tag=atomicindus08-20 This one is 3/8" drive, but again metric...

Looking for a ratchet with internal socket storage (ultra-portable set)

For every day use in the garage I agree. For carrying in my back pocket around on a ship where I have to carry all the sockets with me anyway, having them captured inside the handle is a nice way to keep it compact and right in reach instead of shuffling through my bag trying to find loose...

Looking for a ratchet with internal socket storage (ultra-portable set)

The down side to the PCV pipe is if I set it down it'll roll away being on a ship lol. The down side to that is it's bulky and cumbersome to use and doesn't ratchet. May be fine for an occasional bolt here or there, but some of these cabinets I need to get into can have anywhere from 2 to 20...
