need an ammeter and analog multimeter
You could probably find an old Simpson 260 multimeter for next to nothing. These were the go-to meters for years.

tool sharing
The Air Force has been doing this for a long time...they can just enforce the rules much better than a civilian company.

Brass Hammer Resto
Nice job! Hope you were careful. Breathing in beryllium copper dust is very bad for you.

Dumbest thing you've ever done in your garage...
I was young and poured gasoline in a styrofoam cup...only to see the cup dissolve and gas went everywhere. I didn't tell my dad until years later.

Chinese vs. USA Craftsman RP ratchets (PICS)
It looks like the tooling for older RP ratchets was shipped overseas. I have an older one (circa late 90s) and a newer one (circa 2006). The older one is chunkier just like the china-made one in the pictures. I hate to see these made overseas.

Is WD40 the best shield against rust for your tools?
I use WD-40 to wipe down the tools that I used at the end of the day. I have had no rust issues.

ID this Snap on Ratchet
It might be for aircraft. I know some C-130s come with a modified 1/2" SO ratchet. I think it is used to manually lower the landing gear.

Opinion on Damaged SO f71A
I'd skip it and wait for a working used one. If the handle wasn't bent I would say to go for it.
