    Small shop bathroom layout

I say ditch the shower. It doesn’t seem to get used much. I did an outdoor shower (I’m in SoCal) and it rarely gets used much other than for the dog or a pool shower. I put a 3 bay stainless sink outside, near the shower. It gets used a lot.

Hot water heater for the shop - exploring options

I have a 13kw heater in my shop and it works great. I have 2 sinks and a shower off of it. The biggest thing is to make sure you have the correct gpm faucets in order to slow the water down enough to heat it. Or buy an oversized unit.

    Wire recommendation?

It’s only 25’ of wire. There are lights and outlets already done, along with the gate motor. I‘ll most likely use the 14 gauge wire I have on hand. I was curious if there was something else better/easier to use that could be run in conduit to the call box. It’s in its own conduit that’s already...

    Wire recommendation?

I’m wiring up my gate to my property and I need some recommendations. I need some low voltage wire for my gate call box. Its power supply is 24v 2amp supply. I also have the Knox for the FD and the open signal wires. They originate from the junction box that also houses the 120 volt supply to...

    Polished concrete garage floor

I did mine with a floor buffer and diamond pads from concretefloorsupply.com. I also used a densifier and some kind of sealer. It’s been great. A little slippery when wet but no big deal in socal. It’s been hassle free for 6 years now. welding, mechanical work on cars, trucks and tractors...

What book to get for concrete slab DIY?

I’ve learned quite a bit from https://www.everything-about-concrete.com/ and https://youtube.com/@odellcompleteconcrete?si=yXaGsPH6fAV5Pjc1 I’ve successfully poured a lot of concrete around my property. I learned from the internet and I also found a finisher that was helpful and willing to...

    Fastening 2x4 to cinderblock

I use the Simpson Titens for concrete screw anchors and the hammer drive pin anchors that Solo Machinist posted above. I avoid Tapcons all together now. https://www.strongtie.com/mechanicalanchors_mechanicalanchoringproducts/thd_anchor/p/titen-hd

    Finally, decent internet with Starlink

I really need to install my Starlink. I’ve had it for a month and haven’t had time to install it (finishing the pool while it’s still hot was priority). We’ve been using an AT&T FirstNet hotspot for a few years. It’s okay but real internet will be nice.

Here’s 3 different options from NDS. I’ve used the right 2 around my property with success. I use the middle one for drains that don’t see constant water flow.

    Residential water pipe?

You can use PVC if you want, I did, but I had a unique situation. I’d use black poly/HDPE/PEX. You can check out Ewing https://ewingirrigation.com/products/irrigation/pipe/hdpe-pipe or PUS in Corona https://www.performanceutilitysupplyinc.com/ I’m pretty sure They’ll have what you need. Also, I...

have any experience with TMG Industrial cabinets/workbenches?

The drawers are ok. I’d put them along the line of some of the Craftsman boxes. I wouldn’t put over 100lbs in one. I agree on the Lista boxes. I have a couple of them and they are nice.

have any experience with TMG Industrial cabinets/workbenches?

I have one similar to the last picture. I won it somewhat on accident. I tossed a bid in not expecting to win. I paid less than $500 for it. It’s adequate at that price point. I wouldn’t pay much more for one. They’re not total junk but wouldn’t last in a professional shop. I use it to store...

Unusual Mounting for a Shop TV

This^^^^ Boys - it’s another tool in the shop. I don’t use it everyday but I have an Apple TV hooked to mine so I can use it like above. I often use it if I have to visit YouTube university. OP- I don’t think I would do a mobile cart. I would possibly look at doing some rearranging. I put...

red iron foundation costs in seismic area (zone "D")

    1. 14’ 2. I couldn’t tell you what the seismic is but we’re not far from the famous San Andreas fault. 3. I should of explained more. It’s hard to take anyone’s bid/quote/price without all the info. The company that built my building did the foundation and erected it too. Turn key deal. I gave...

red iron foundation costs in seismic area (zone "D")

Here’s a screen shot of an approved red iron footing plan to give you an idea. You are probably going to have to increase the size of the footing under the red iron uprights. Cost was approx 10k 2 years ago.
