    Ordered a new lawn tractor....

The lawnmowers from home centers are not different than what Deere dealers sale and none of the Deere branded mowers are rebranded MTD mowers.

    Ordered a new lawn tractor....

If that is happening, then it is because of the management at your dealer. There is not a John Deere policy stating customers go to the back of the line if they bought their lawnmower from Home Depot.

If you could do it all over...

There is not much I would change for I have been fairly satisfied with all of my tool purchases. But, adding a 3/8" impact much sooner to my box would be the main thing I would change. Also would not have purchased any other brand of pliers but Channellock or Knipex. And lastly, all of my...

This is why i will still buy Craftsman tools from Sears

That is what I did when I starting buying my tools. I would replace the Harbor Freight tools that broke with better tools. If I don't use a tool enough to wear it our or break it I don't see the point in spending the money for a better tool. That was 15 years ago when I starting buying my own...

12 point sockets and short combo wrenches?

I don't use either one very often. But the short wrenches get used a lot more than 12 point sockets. I only use 12 point sockets on 12 point bolts/nuts and I don't see them very often. If I had to choose what to add to my box first it would be the short combination wrenches because most are...

    A pet peeve of mine.

I hate this also. What I usually get is "What are you going to do with it" and my response is "Well if you don't know then you must not have it" I then leave.

What is the largest common size sockets for 1/4, 38, 1/2 drive

1/4 inch drive 1/2 inch socket, 3/8 drive 1 inch socket, 1/2 inch drive 1 1/2 socket. You can get bigger from some companies but there is really no reason for bigger. Even these sizes are fairly large for there drive size. I have never looked at a bolt with a 5/8 head and thought "if only I...

    SO box comparison

If you have the money go with the Classic. It's bigger and when it comes to tool boxes bigger is always better. Well.............almost always.

Best / Most expensive tool you've lost / found.

Lost a file that I am sure I left on a trailer I was working on. Also lost a Hazet 13mm combo wrench that I think was left on a finishing mower. Didn't really care about the file but the wrench still aggravates me.

Do you prefer a workstation riser or a top box?

I guess if I had to choose it would be the riser. I don't use either one though. I use a slant opening box like the ones strictlytoolboxes sell. I have it on the left corner and it leaves the rest of the top free for whatever. 90% of what I use daily is in it and there has been days when the...

    Tools that are worked hard

Don't have any pictures of any of my tools right now. But I used to work 3/8 drive deep 15mm sockets pretty hard. Broke a chrome Craftsman on a 3/8 impact. Then I started using impact sockets, started with a Williams that broke also but the Snap-on guy gave me a Snap-on to replace it. Broke...

    Ratchet wear out time?

I have had the selector lever just fall of Snap-on ratchets just spinning a bolt off the wasn't even tight. I wouldn't say they are "****". Use it everyday something is going to give. Anything with moving parts is going to wear out or break at some point.
