    Partner K750 Gas cut-off Saw

Just a note for those who were interested, I called a bunch of service locations, 95% of which are rental companies, but found one with a few old worn saws and willing to part one out for the handle.

    Craftsman Warranty Going Away?

Yes replace it free of charge....... but.... you dont get a new one - you get a reconditioned one, i.e. ratchet I brought back a snapped 3/8 breaker bar that was polished originally, I received a lousey looking bar that was not polished, had terrible detail and no hole at the end of the handle...

    Glueing Plastic

Sure don't want to experiment too much, even though I dont use it for work/travel anymore I dont want it looking like a butchered-up job. I've put off fixing it because of that but now I've got to do something or its gonna be history if the top separates entirely. I'm not too sure about JB, its...

    garage floor cleaner... any suggestions?

You might try putting paint thinner on the stain, then sprinkle a layer of cat litter on top of it. The litter will wick out the stain. Works for me.

    Is there such a fastener?

The body of my work truck is similar to a dumpster. It has smooth steel inside and the exterior is reinforced with 3"X2" steel channels. There is a 4'X8' steel "sign board" that is mounted to each side of the body for graphics. These were installed by running bolts from the outside to the...

Anybody use socket systems / lumber link style timber frame?

Flipper: I too am interested in the system and look forward to other's experience. I was even considering using it for a house. I like the open plans that are pictured in their website. Hope you get some good responses.

    Ever us this stuff

Not that I believe all I read........ but a lot of them say guarantee that their product won't rust your wheels. I would think that tire shops would be against this stuff - it takes their flat repair business away. Remember, this stuff washes off with water (according to most manuf.) so it's...

    Ever us this stuff

Many of these sealant companies say that their product is easily washed off with just water. I'm really looking for what name brands of sealants have been used successfully by folks on the board. Fix-a-flat is not in this category. I'm looking for commercial grade products.

    Help with HVAC Design

Update: A HVAC company did an inspection today: - system functions well - would operate even better with a larger return duct - $500. to install larger duct (not too bad) - Gas pack system is expandable so addition is possible - Insulation in crawl space is good Tony

    Driveway over a septic field

The house is ten years old, so the system is already there. There was some issues with perking on the other side of the house, so they put the fields on the garage side (just where my shop would go). Might be a problem even trying to alter the fields considering the perking issues. I'll be...

    Driveway over a septic field

Tman: You're right, this is actually a house we're looking at in SC. Our compromise might end up being - find another one. But this one has a lot of good points so I'd like to pursue all possibilities.

    Driveway over a septic field

So let me try putting the brain power of the group to work........ To get to a suitable construction site on the property I'd have to get over these fields (perpendicular). Does anyone know of a way that would be acceptable? Piers? Bridging? I'm shooting in the dark here.
