Williams USA - Somebody needs to get their QC in line

The Snap-On brand is the most attractive and durable tool money can buy. Period. Williams is just as durable as Snap-On, and it is the most durable brand tool for the money that can be bought. Williams is a fraction of the price of Snap-On. There are design similarities and differences...

Williams USA - Somebody needs to get their QC in line

We agree 1000%. If manufacturers produced perfect tools 100% of the time they would not need a warranty. Form, function, and appearance quality is consistency which is always a percentage. Williams will warranty any tool that is not consistent with their normal production quality Cosmetics...

    Williams group buy?

It is grounds for termination with S/O Inc. We accept Canadian source payments, but we must ship to a US end point. So a USA forwarder to Canada would be ok.

    Williams USA 12pc 1/4 drive set(same as S O?)

Snap-On and the USA made Williams are ounce for ounce identical in steel strength and come out of the same plant off the same machines using the same raw material grades. The differences are, and the only differences are the level of finish, handle styles, and stampings. Snap-On tools are...

    SO warranty question

The warranty is with the manufacturer always. It does not matter if you found the tool on a curb. Local store / trucks are the 1st warranty line and if they are not available the manufacturer will handle it directly. You can contact the manufacturer and they will decide. If it is an really old...

    Advice on buying Ratchets

I am biased: Williams USA Industrial - Made in the Snap-On factory. If Snap-On is the F-150 King Ranch leather loaded tool, Williams USA is the white company truck with vinyl of the Snap-On line. It gets the work done. Choose a 36 tooth or 72 tooth round head.

    Large metric wrenches

Many of the larger sizes of metric and standard wrenches are within a few hundredths of an inch of being the same size. With good wrenches grabbing on the flats of fasteners a lot of "corners could be cut" if you already have a complete standard set. Get a conversion chart out and take a look maybe.

Old SO hard handle now labeled Williams?

Most users know these only by the sets they come in. Williams also makes really long electrician screwdrivers with these handles but they do not come in sets so many people don't even know about those.

Old SO hard handle now labeled Williams?

Williams had a manufacturing run of Part # SDP-2-8 get with unevenly cut tips in late 2011 and some made it into the distribution chain. When we went through our stock about 10% of the sets had a defective SDP-2-8. All of these were replaced free of charge by Snap-On Industrial and the ones we...

The Tools Delivered Site is back up!

In our system normally marking an order in process "complete" triggers an order to be sent to the shipped file. An order entering the shipped file triggers an email telling the customer the order has been shipped. Additionally in our software when a batch of orders are moved, if the transfer...

The Tools Delivered Site is back up!

Any company after they were paid long ago concerned enough to have real people (not software) personally answering emails about orders from 6 mos to 3 years ago @ 3 AM inspires confidence in many people. We here have all been told many times today how people appreciated a quick response...
