I have been eyeing the new Craftsman 3/8" flex-head, bent handle ratchet for a couple of weeks. It is full polish, made in Taiwan, (Apex?) feels good and has decent reviews. I have been using regular flex head ratchets more and more lately and like them. At $31, I may just buy one.

I shattered a garage sale find Stanley branded dead blow hammer. It was sub-zero and the outer plastic cracked like a porcelain vase in one blow. Trashed it and am now looking at Trusty Cook hammers.

Spinning the 3/8" ratchet did nothing so I returned them to Fastenal and they gave me a new set. This set works perfectly and so far I am very happy with them. I will use them for a few weeks and then consider ordering the 4 piece 120xp flex head set.

Did you call Apex/GW's 1-800 number and ask them ?

Clean it, get it functional and use it. Prepping, priming and painting is a long process.
