    Klutch air reels

Drag, both my reels are HF. I don't believe there are any differences in any of the reels that sell for less than about $90. I paid $59 on "sale" at HF for the retract including the hose and (IIRC) $29 for the hand crank without the hose.

    Klutch air reels

In my shop I have one self-retract reel with a 50' hose and one hand crank reel with a 50' hose. I prefer the hand crank reel. It always reels out to the exact length I need.:rocker:

Ok, honest question: How is SnapOn Ratchet any better than C-man or HF caliber?

Not that it is going to change any minds, but last week I went to HF because I needed a 1/2" x 25" breaker bar for a one time job. I paid about $15 and the manager told me if it breaks, bring it back for free replacement. I believe any of their "Pittsburgh" tools now carry that warranty. On a...

    splicing poles for pole barn

Cheap as I am, I would try to use what you have. Why not splice every other post? I would not hesitate to use a half-lap splice with thru bolts and large washers.

    Pneumatic nailer problem...

My air nailer(s) have a passel of o-rings and a bumper that must be replaced from time to time. I would either take it to a repair shop that specializes in them or try to find a kit that contains all the replaceable parts and DIY. The shop charged me $45 p&l for the overhaul.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I replaced the lo-beam headlight lamp on my 2011 Seirra. What a mess just to replace a bulb! Whatever happened to just pulling two pins to pop the headlight assembly out? I replaced the passenger side bulb two days ago and had to take the air filter box out to get to the bulb. That was bad...

    Shop lighting, new shop

I am building a shop at the ranch, 56' x 30", 12' eave, 15' at the gable peak, no ceiling, all metal construction. I will not be working on cars, but tractors and other heavy equipment. I will need lights and am looking for suggestions. I am considering metal halide and flourescent. Are...

    Need a tool box

The Kobalt is 20.5"w x 8.5" deep x 12' high, it has two drawers and a top tray with hinged lid. That size works reasonably well, but if I could find another configuration with more size that would be good.Price up to about $150....

    Need a tool box

OK, some background: I now have a Kobalt 2-drawer plus tray tool box mounted to a stout homemade hinge at the rear of my pick-up bed. The hinge allows it to swing out of the way or to swing to the tail-gate when I am using the tailgate for a work bench. I do most of my work out of the truck...

I need a one shot relay

I just found this site and thread so I am late to the party, but I have built many "relay one-shot"s using a 24 vdc relay with a capacitor in series with the coil. Upon application of power the capacitor will conduct long enough for the coil to momentarily energize, then stay off for the...
