Nice design. As Thumper68 said, build what you want and enjoy the process. You didn't say that you were using receiver-specific tubing, but you probably know that 2" tube won't nest with standard 2 1/2" x 1/4" wall welded tube, as the weld bead interferes. I wasn't able to source long sections...

vvmvvb: this is a great looking install. Question on depth - could it be shallower if my intention was to use the shortest pad configuration, say 4.75" min height + .75 for the plywood and .50 for just-in-case, for a total of 6"? Thanks.
