Curious where you were quoted those prices? I did make the mistake of getting #3 for the ground as well when I find out now I could have used #6 which would have been a slight savings.

Generally speaking I think people underestimate what properly built outbuildings cost. In this case its almost a 30 x 40 house... So $73k doesn't seem to far out of line. Although I hope to complete mine for $40k or less but I plan on doing most of the labor. We'll see how that works. Good luck...
