Wow, I just realized I spent almost an entire afternoon at the office reading this thread. You are one ambitious dude.... I wish I had 1/10 of your space......Keep on rebuilding/restoring!!
Stared at the empty space that used to be occupied by my cars. Lost my 64 Plymouth, 64 Olds 98 convertible(in the family for 46 yrs) and my camper in a fire at the winter storage facility.
Replaced the vent control solenoid and fixed a broken wire in the drivers door harness of my 04 Impala. Oh, and boosted my wife's van after she left the interior lights on overnight
I sent a rigid drill, charger and battery in to the repair shop for testing and had the new battery in a week. No questions asked. That was in June 2012. I have used Dewalt, Rigid, Milwaukee, Makita and Bosch. My father had a Walmart Powermax 18 volt for almost 10 years before the charger gave...
I usually buy power tools at home depot, and sockets and gear wrenches at Cdn Tire. I only buy the Maximum line at Crappy Tire though, and I have Mac or Matco ratchets that I bought off this site. I have found over the years that Power tools are not much cheaper in the US than I pay here. I go...
Up here where I live, The guys usually gather in the kitchen. It's closer to the food! None of my buddies have garages either. I spent yesterday teaching my 5 year old how to pass a puck on the lake and the evening working on my sled in the garage.
I spent about 20 years in the survey industry in Canada. I take offense to the above comments. Surveying is like other professions, There are definitely some that are crooks and there are a lot of good honest ones too. It's not just just a 2 or 3 week course to get a license. It is a full...
Honda 5518 4WD, 4WS, front and rear Hydraulics and PTO at both ends. 46 inch dozer blade, 46 inch mower and 45 inch front count snowblower. Dandy size for what I need. Also have a 47 Ferguson TEA 20 and a late 40's Ford 8N, and a 1969 Ford LGT 100.
I have the Rigid combination set and a couple of extra Rigid Drills. I would buy it again in a heart beat. Lifetime service agreement rocks. Haven't needed it yet. Makita or Milwaukee are excellent too.
I bought the Rigid combination Kit from Home Depot. The impact driver and the circular saw are worth their weight in gold. That saw will rip 3/4 inch plywood all day on one battery. 2x4 and 2x6 cut nice too. Lifetime service agreement rocks.
I'm putting up a shop and I need to know if I can interchange hardware for the doors. The hardware and tracks are for a 1 5/8 insulated door and the ones I am putting on are 1 3/4. Will that matter any? The doors are similiar design and are the same size as the hardware was for.
Here are a couple of more pics. The only numbers on the box are the 8 1948 in the sides where the drawer slides go. Doesn't seem to have any other numbers. Could they be in the bottom corners on the back? If so, I'll never know because the metal is rusty down at the bottom.
