    Pick a compressor for me

http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200612355_200612355 For around the same price you can get a decent Quincy, this will most likely be the one I upgrade to in a couple years.

    Gearbox Tall Cabinet with wheels

I have three of them, I personally wouldn't put more than the recommended weight on them as the shelves are somewhat thin. I keep the heavy stuff on the bottom. Besides that they are great units at a good price, check one out at your local sears store to see if it'll work for you.

    Ideal garage size

My last garage was 25dx35w I really liked the size though it only had an 8 foot ceiling. Now I have a 10 foot ceiling but about 200 sq ft less floor space. I can't complain with what I have but I believe the old footprint with 10 foot ceilings would be ideal for my situation.

    Gladiator GarageWorks shipping damage?

Did you buy from sears.com and have them shipped to your house, or did you buy them from a brick-and-mortar Sears store? I bought them from brick and mortar.

    Gladiator GarageWorks shipping damage?

I've bought both from Sears and directly from Gladiator. Never any problems from Sears, only one gear locker I purchased had a small dent on the side. Recently bought the 77" rack shelving from gladiator and it arrived damaged so I had them send it back. Quick call took care of it and the...

How much difference will insulation make?

I didn't see it mentioned, but where are you located? I added r-30 to the ceiling of my attached 600 Sq-ft garage after I installed my heater. So far this year I have only used the heater a few times. The insulation helped more than I had imagined it would. One exterior wall isn't even...

Electric unit heater recommendation - 900 sq ft

how tall are your ceilings? I have a 7500 watt Chromalox in my 615 sqft attached garage which is mostly insulated and its working great. I have 10 ft ceilings. They're a bit more pricey than other units but are well made and have powerful fans to get the heat spread evenly.

FYI Pay off of a well insulated garage

I'm also in Portland and last year put R30 in the ceiling of my attached garage, it made a big difference and I haven't even had to turn my heater on yet. Like you I'm seeing around 45 even with one wall that's not insulated. Amazing what a little insulation does.

    Ceiling insulation help

If it were me I would insulate it, it will lessen the cost of heating/cooling and you might even find it tolerable without it. I added R30 to my garage ceiling after I put in a heater and barely have to heat it on really cold days. I used the Owens Corning batts. They also have a machine...

Got new tools, will snap on buy back?

I'm with Gotmayhem, seems shady. Based off the price I'm almost positive he received them for free as thats around the price in tools I got from SO after finishing tech school. Just sell them on here, or ebay/craigslist for below retail if you don't want them.
