Sorry, substitute purchasers with sellers in paragraph #2.

    Paypal "gift" for purchases

I have seen on GJ that sellers are directing their buyers to pay for their purchases using the Paypal "gift" feature, presumably to avoid seller's fees. Simply stated, this constitutes fraud and/or theft. Paypal is a business, designed to make money. Cheating them out of their rightful fees...

    FS: lot of USA-made wrenches

What sizes are the Easco wrenches?

    Easco wrenches

I'm not really all that invested in the Easco brand, but the ones I have were in a bunch of miscellaneous wrenches I got from my Dad a long time ago. Actually, the Easco wrenches are rather nicely made, finished off well, chromed, forged alloy, made in U.S.A., also. Their stamped identifying...

Looking at some Craftsman Ratchets and need input

I'm interested in the Easco wrenches...not that I think they're great wrenches, just to fill in some missing ones in my wrench drawer....shoot me some sizes and prices...PayPal is my poison of choice.....

Wanted: Stainless Craftsman Ratchet Repair Kit

I'm looking for the elusive repair kit for a 1/2" stainless Craftsman ratchet. The Craftsman repair kit's part number is 44787, and the ratchet's stock number is 43763. Sears/Craftsman no longer stock this item, so one of my favorite old ratchets is out of commission until I can find the kit.

    Gladiator tool chests at Costco

Well, FWIW, I'm pleased with the Costco set I referred to above. The workbench is very heavy and solid. The cabinets are not as heavy or solid as my previously-purchased Premiere Series Gladiator GW stuff (at Direct Buy...saved enough on this one purchase to pay for the membership for a few...

    bought an I Beam today.

Just ran across this thread... Along these lines, I have a garage that's approx. 23' deep X 26' wide, with 9 1/2' ceilings. I've loaded the attic over the garage with way too much stuff...mostly just **** that we can't seem to throw away. The bulk of the items in the attic was put there about...

    Gladiator tool chests at Costco

Along the same lines, at my local Costco (Merrillville, IN), a few weeks ago I scored a Gladiator Garage Works package consisting of a 73" work bench with a solid 1 1/2" bamboo top, a three-drawer storage cabinet, and a two door cabinet with three shelves, all in the painted diamond plate...

    Router table build

Sorry so late with the post reference this thread... What type of vacuum are you using for that router table? And I admire that whole setup. I recently bought a Craftsman 1 3/4 hp router and a matching table on sale ($99.00...hard to pass it up), and already I've discovered deficiencies, some...

renting a cherry picker for tree cutting

The Voice of Experience here: find a licensed, bonded, insured tree trimmer/arborist from your area. Learn from your local city, town, or county government if you need a permit for the work and if your tree guy needs anything special from that government agency. When I first bought my...

Craftsman Stainless Ratchets, Extensions & Sockets Set 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2”

If you run across a 3/8" stainless Craftsman ratchet again and would like to sell it, I'll take it for a reasonable price...ie, not the Ebay price...they're crazy there. Thanks.

    Craftsman Stainless Ratchets

I just ran across this rather old thread...my apologies. I couldn't tell from the posts if anyone actually bought the ratchets. I'm interested in the 3/8", but would buy both if they're still available. Thanks.

    Craftsman stainless/lifetime ratchet

So, what did you end up doing with the stainless craftsman ratchets? I bought the 1/4" and 3/8" with their matching plastic-clad sockets in, I think, around 1980. Still have the 1/4", but some "friend" never returned the 3/8" ratchet. If you still have them hanging around, I'm interested.

    Newbie to the Garage Journal

I found it in the gj vise thread...post 1513...please take a look and let me know what you think. Also, mine is in great shape...only needs a new paint job. Everything is there and after a squirt of light on the bolt threads and slide, one finger moves it.

    The VISES of Garage Journal

It's obviously a long time since you posted this, but I just had to tell you: That's one of the funniest comment I've seen yet in the 1341 posts in this thread I've seen thus far!!
