That is what I currently have at work. I couldn't fit all my tools on there so some are in my car's trunk. That Snap-On toolbox in the background was just bought by the other T-TEN Apprentice who works there also. I'm so jealous but I don't have enough tools or $$ to justify that kind of purchase...... yet.

Lexustech1, I have 2 suggestions, you said your cart is not exactly level. I suggest that you loosen all the bolts and rack the cart just a bit and see if it levels out then tighten them all up. Carts like this can get un-level if a few bolts are too tight before i the final assembly.

You also stated that you removed the arms, I assume you are letting the lid go all the way to the back side. You can certainly do that but you loose a lot of useful space. Take a look at some of the carts on this thread and notice how many guys mount ratchets and tools to the underside of the lid. When the lid is vertical it makes for some very useful storage of often needed tools. I use magnets on mine to hold tools and it is very useful.

When I started as tech back in 2008, I started with a Napa cart that had a closing lid and 1 drawer. 2 weeks later, I decided to bring in a top box that I had lying around at home and placed it on the work table. I worked out of those up until 2009( i think mid ), then bought a Husky 5 drawer that fit my budget. Now I'm in the market to buy another box( the Husky box will go home ).

I can understand being jealous of his tool box but you don't need to go in debt to become a good tech.

This is definitely great advice for any tech that is just starting out.

I'm gonna try the magnet thing tomorrow.

Dont really know why nobody over here sells a similar type of cart to the napa ...you can get blue point/snap on/mac and a few other smaller carts but not the bigger type

Do you have a Napa store? I know there is one sitting in the store in NE South Dakota right now just like the one posted. Maybe they can arrange shipping from other stores.

Also does anyone know the manufacturer of the box? Napa is big into Homak and I know that a lot of their Homak stuff has to be ordered at their sales conferences far ahead of time.

I got this Bluepoint off the SO truck a couple of years ago when I was at the dealership.
It's been a damn good box.
The HF box in the background is a recent addition.

You think that prybar rack would fit on the black 4 drawer cart from HF?

My 4 drawer HF tool cart has been a hit at work. I hooked up four techs with the $99 coupon so they can go get one too. You really cant beat it for the price. Its good enough to do the job well and cheap enough where you dont mind beating it up a bit.

I don't see why not. Its 17 and 1/2" long if that helps you. On mine I also had to bend the lip that holds it out a little bit

Can someone tell me where I can get the $99 coupon for HF so I can pick up one of these carts?

Where did it come from or off of? The prybar rack that is.

Snap-On sells a similar side pry-bar box as well. Look under service carts and then accessories. Should come in a variety of colors.

May not bolt up exactly, but drilling holes in a HF cart is not a crime for what you pay.

38D, what are use using for socket rails/holders (the light blue rails?)
