Anybody buy the "un-named" combo wrenches? What brands have they been shipping? I know that doesn't mean I'll get the same. Just trying to get an idea b/c they are a fair bit less than the Wrights.

Most of the wrenches are Williams. Some are Wright. A few are black oxide SK. There also might be one or two KD mixed in there.

I found this 1/4 inch Made in the USA KD Tools ratchet today:

http://store.harryepstein.com/cp/KDTool/711111.html

For $12, I don't see where you can go wrong, but does anybody know anything about these? There isn't any information on the Epstein's website and a google search didn't yield me much on the part number. I can't even find a website for KD Tools.

I have that ratchet, as well as the 3/8" and 1/2" drive versions. It's a decent fine-ish (45?) tooth ratchet. It's definitely an upgrade from the Craftsman raised panel ratchets I'd been using before. I think I paid $15 for mine a few years ago and it came in a kit with a spinner handle, 3" extension, and SAE sockets.

KD tools was an Apex Tool Group brand that has been replaced by Gearwrench, so any KD stuff you see is either NOS or Gearwrench that somebody's still listing under the KD part numbers.

Jori,

Will we be able to order any products in the Wright and Channellock catalog or only items on the Epstein website?

Thank you.

We can order anything that Wright makes and get it in about a week.
We can also get anything from Channellock, but it might be a little more expensive to just order one or two of a pliers, because we typically order in box quantity.

Anything that you'd like to special order just write it in the "comments" section when you checkout.

thanks

Jori

Hi Jori,

Any further info on what the possible goodies from Wright and Channelock will be? I picked up a Wright t-shirt from you guys last year.

Also, when are you going to get some decals printed up? I need a HJE sticker for my tool box at work.

What's the -B indicate?

There's two different 8 piece Code Blue sets. The A set includes an adjustable wrench, the B set doesn't. There some other differences, but that's the easy peasy means of telling them apart at a glance.

Who knows?
I'd be down for some kind of HJE stickers as well.

I'd be interested in one for my toolbox though. Wouldn't put one on my truck, but I could see putting a few in the garage.

Not looking for a freebie, I'd be happy to pay for them.

THREE THINGS YOU MUST DO TO REAP THE FULL REWARDS OF EPSTEIN'S DAY!

"I pity the fool that does not follow these three steps." - Mr T.

1. :Mr.T:Write in the comments section when you check out: -> "Epstein's day" or something along those lines, with anything that you'd like to tell us regarding box art requests, etc. This is just to distinguish between Epstein's Day orders and regular orders.

2. :Mr.T:Let us know your Garagejournal "handle", your GJ user name. For me it would be "Jsackin". You will be glad you did.

3. :Mr.T:Epstein's Day begins at midnight Central standard time for those of you late night shoppers.

Ok, now here is the super special offer for Epstein's Day 2014. A number of manufacturers have stepped up and offered up some pretty cool stuff as giveaways.

#1. If you buy a Channellock item, you will get a Channellock give away as long as they last. Channellock has given us stickers, and hats as well as 23 pairs of pliers. Also, we have some Channellock t-shirts left over from last year (not too many). So all of those items are fair game to be thrown in the order. I will post a pic of the hats when they come in.

#2. If you buy a Wright item, you will get a Wright pocket screwdriver for as long as they last. Wright gave us 100 of them. We also have some Wright shirts left over from last year, but not too many.

#3. There will be some Armstrong t-shirts (Not here yet, but I'll throw up a pic if they come in time). Buy an Armstrong item, get an Armstrong t-shirt for as long as they last. 30 or so shirts. Note: Gotta buy some Armstrong stuff in the Catalog. Armstrong closeouts don't qualify.

#4. Occidental is giving away a B5057 pocket caddy with every order of a full Occidental tool bag setup. The pocket caddy is just like the picture, except it's black and no tools come with it.

If you are just looking for an Occidental bag or a belt, Occidental is throwing in a hammer holder as well. (Long as they last!)

#5. Epstein's is going to throw in a US made (Modern Abrasives) dual grit sharpening puck on every order. There is also a number of other misc shirts, hats, and other stuff that we'll be throwing in, but not anything we have good quantities in. You don't have to do anything to get the puck, except of course:

:Mr.T: write "Epstein's Day" in the comments section of your order
:Mr.T: let us know your GJ username. (Also if you are wanting a shirt, let us know size)
:Mr.T: Place your order after midnight central time.

thanks again for all your support!

Too bad Epstein Day 2014 is not in the budget this year.

Well, it wasn't in the budget last year, and that didn't stop me from placing a nice sized order.

My shopping cart is full & ready!
