Depends on which "type" your 715 is. Type 1 and 2 will take the laser or light attachment, type 3 will not.

Picked this up in my local store yesterday for $5. Nothing spectacular, but for $5 I liked the case and wanted to try the Milwaukee impact bits. Look for the 29 piece tag at top, the left side of the case looked a lot different in the display packaging, the loose bits I have in the case were in a "display" plastic thing that hid the case. Number in top right is 48-32-4401, rang up exactly $5. I suspect this is leftover Xmas/Black Friday stuff.

Not a clearance deal, but the Savannah HD still had 6' fiberglass stepladders marked at $49 and aluminum ones for $39 at the front of the store. Grabbed the former and checked the ladder aisle, where it was marked $78. Sure enough, it rang up at the higher price, but the employee overrode that. She did call someone before doing so, though, so I think the price just changed and the employees just hadn't pulled the sign. Been debating an aluminum one for a couple months but decided to pay a little more; guess the timing was perfect.

Also, HDX lubricants are $1.60, normal price around $5.

I use that set at work a lot and really like it, I think for $5 it's a great deal.

Saw this over at slick deals. Ryobi 10" compound miter saw for $88.06. This is going to be a YMMV situation. SKU - 749865.

HD on Westheimer in houston has this lumber sitting on carts outside the garden area. I asked if it was clearance or something and the customer service girl said she thinks if it's sitting outside the fence then it is trash. Pretty good straight stuff for free possibly. If you're in the area it would definitely be worth checking out. Bring a trailer. If I would have had a trailer and didn't just get an injection in my lower back this morning I'd be all over this.

My friend who works part time tells me his HD does this. He brings home a ton of free warped but totally useable stuff.

Bought the Dewalt DWS782 for $239 at the HD at 700 Broadview Village Sq
Broadview, IL 60153, (708)865-9900

They had one left as of 3:30pm on Friday - 01/30/2015

Laser light retrofit is easy but not cheap

prices are from ereplacementparts
1X - Handle set - 624730-00 - $14.39
1X - Power supply - N078832 - $25.78
1X - Work Light - N030317 - $138.74
2X - Screw - 330019-32 - $1.99
1X - Motor Cord - N114499 - $18.74 - not sure if this is needed or not, but it does not appear on the DWS782 parts diagram and looks like it is part of the motor

I'm going to see if I can retrofit the DWS7085 work light with just handle change and some backyard engineering on the light.

Found these in the tool area: Husky waterproof 11"+7" storage bins for $9. Not sure what to do with them but could be useful on a boat or camping to protect electronics or wallet from water/rain damage. They are sold separately for about $25 total

This is the route that the writeup on Amazon takes. Much cheaper this way.

Found a cheaper solution

Buy few parts for
DW718
Guard - 618230-00 - $17.10
Jumper - 618213-00 - $3.62
DWS782
1X - Handle set - 624730-00 - $14.39

and make spacers for the light and some wiring inside the handle and we have a working light for about $70 including the light. I'll probably do that as soon as I can make it over to the Dewalt Service center. The Plate - N020822 (guard mounts to it) is the same part number for DW718 and DWS780 and 782.

Interesting. Seeing this makes me want to pick up the DWS782 and sell my DW715. If I'm going to have to rig up the light, I would rather do it to the sliding miter over the non-sliding.

Please take pictures of the process as a couple of us bought the saw.

Thanks

Thanks, got one ordered for me and one for my pops. He has been using a 20 yr old 10" non-sliding ryobi and has wanted a sliding miter for a while. I couldn't find any in the Dallas metroplex. Luckily I will be traveling to Austin next week for work and found a store there with 2 left. Ordered over the phone. Thanks OP!

Probably late but anyone seen the Dewalt Table Saw in any stores around Chicagoland? I had one ordered for store pickup in Jan when they went on sale and went to pick it up and they couldn't release it to me even though they had one in the back. Then got a email that it was cancelled.

This would be a sweet deal I'd jump on in a heartbeat. Still listed at 349 online using my store. I may have to stop by tomorrow when I have time.

Was this a yellow sticker deal or did you have it scanned?

That heat gun seems interesting if I can find one.

Not too much more expensive than HF, might be at least a little better quality (which translates into maybe less of a chance it burns down my house)

Rings up as a clearance item, yellow tag. When I ran across the box, it was still boxed and sitting behind the netting down one of the aisles. Asked an employee to punch in the sku on their phone since I hadn't seen the boxes in any stores for quite some time. He told me the price and I asked him to bring it down!

Got the DW745 for $125. Listed @ $179 rang up $150 but the Box was opened and it was Marked Used Good Condition I opened to check it out everything was in it. Someone used the saw to do some flooring and returned it still had saw dust over everything. I'm sure the blade is trash but I wouldn't of used it anyways unless I was cutting some 2x or something.

I'll fire it up and do some cuts this weekend to check it out. After having the one store cancel my order back in Jan for $225
I 'll take one used probably just for the weekend for another $100 off : ). Probably could of asked for more but didn't want them to say the sticker shows $179 and the cash register showing $150 and that is the price for open box even though I thought someone mention they got one to ring up at $150 as well. Probably final clearance price now.

Some bad news, the DWS7085 light is not going to work with the new saws. Hole pattern is different and the light is aimed at a wrong angle to cast a complete shadow of the blade. Have to buy the correct parts from servicenet.dewalt.com to have the light.

I read something somewhere else recently that you can take the saw to a Dewalt service center and they will do it for $70. Not sure how true that is, but if you have a Dewalt center close, you might stop by and ask.

Thanks! Picked up a 782 in MA for 204. The box was just sitting in the middle of the miter saw area, with no pricing or clearance markings. I had to get someone to come manually scan it for a price.
