Bahco was bought by sandvik in 1991 and then sold again in 1999 (to snap-on). From this time you can also find "Sandvik Bahco" and "Sandvik-Belzer" branded tools.

Sandvik is here most known for their cutting inserts for turning and milling machines. (Sandvik-coromant)

Just received this today: Rennsteig parallel pin punches with soft grip handles 2-8mm to match my set of starter punches which i already had.

DSC00028.jpg

DSC00033-3.jpg

DSC00032-3.jpg

The "head" of the handle bar is a little bit bigger than the Facom/USAG etc. version for better protection
( about the size of an .45 bullet)

DSC00035-3.jpg

The handles can be removed so you can reuse them , they are also avail. individually to put them on punches you already have or to put them on chisels etc.

Very interesting ! I read you seem to buy alot through ebay UK i wonder if you have no businesses in Malta for professionell tools ? ( i found this one: www.pioveholdings.com

I buy alot of thing off eBay as everything here is expensive. I mostly look for Snap On stuff but my tools are not limited to them only. My top 5 mostly stocked tools are Snap On, Gray (Canada), Beta, Mac, Stanley.

I try to find bargains off eBay, those European tools I posted were all bought here except the Britool screwdrivers (eBay UK).

Here is one for you Monte, its a feeler gauge that I bought over 10 years ago at a petrol station (I've been living in Europe for the past 18 years) its marked "Made in West Germany" and there is a picture of a cat or small animal jumping through a hoop.

I wanted a GOOD set of metric only feeler gauges when working on hondas at the dealer. (for valve adjustments) Snappy couldn't help me out at all the best they could do wasnt graduated fine enough and didn't go small enough. I guess I was looking in the wrong place.

I searched around for a brand who uses this symbol on their measuring tools but couldn`t find anyone (Many companies closed the doors in the last years or were bought/sold due to the rising imports)

ps: the Waggon brand is actually "VBW" brand but since they belong to stahlwille now they don`t offer "VBW Waggon" sockets + wrenches anymore , but the ratchet looks like its made by Walter/WGB so probably they never had a own manufacturing.

c. walter: (ok handle looks different but there is only this company who makes this style nowadays and WGB but the Boss of both companies has the same name so they seem to belong together somehow)

I've been to the plant where the Gedore pliers are made. Their quality is amazing!

Yeah, I'd hate to think that that'll become reality down the road, someday. I sure hope the Japanese tool makers keep adamant about retaining production 100% JDM sourced.

Sweet ! How is the ratcheting ? (22 teeth ? ) ? Do you have any of their "Megadora" screwdrivers ?

If the japanese companies ever go abroad with their production or if they put "made in japan" on imported tools and somebody discover it all of their managers/bosses would have to commit harakiri so probably it will never happen :)

Hahahaha. You surely know a thing or two about the Japanese culture!
I can totally picture the scandal in my head.

Not the Megadora, but I do have a few other JIS standard screwdrivers from them. I don't have any pictures of them though. [EDIT:] It looks like I did take a picture of them.

The Stahlwille locking extensions look pretty similar to the FPC versions from Japan. I have their 3/8" locking universal.

That's a nice engineer's hammer

Nice cushion grip drivers there ! I`d like to have the Ball handle ones... They just look too curious :):pimpflash

Looks like the flash-tool locking extensions have a metal button ?
etb-3l-zoom.jpg

Everybody else seem to use the collar type locking extensions ? (Wera has a button too).

haha didn`t know american keyboards even have a "ä" key
äöüß :D
yeah for all the tools i need a über-große :) (large) toolbox but i can`t afford one :D
That`s why 1 drawer looks like this...:

hgztuj100.jpg

and this is my other toolbox: :D

hgztuj102.jpg

since i ran out of space some tools are stuffed here:

IMAG0078.jpg

:D

and here:

IMAG0082.jpg

:D j/k

That`s why I`m already looking for a Lista type drawer cabinet to store the special tools and seldom used stuff, one set of tools will be stored in my tool box and the master plan says to get another tool box for a 2nd set so 2 ppl can work together or separately with their own set of tools.
Hopefully i find something soon because i still have to weld the inner fender wells from the car and the trunk floor and finish everything....

ghf4.jpg

This one would be nice and enough for me:

or this one: (with a few more drawers)

very dangerous area!!!

I don´t know what´s affordable for you, but if you´re looking for a larger toolbox, check eBay uk. Sometimes you could find really cheap Snap On boxes. Money exchange GBP-EUR is 1 to 1.12. Under these circumstances^^^^ I´m sure your wife would add on a few euros :bounce:

Yup, button type just like the Wille. Although I don't have experience with the collar type, I prefer this kind.

You like the ball types too, eh. I'm curious to try them out as well as the shape should(?) provide the heft needed for initial loosening and final tightening, and will also allow swift turning on your palm. At least that's what my thoughts are.
Anex actually makes large ball types that spin freely on your palm--probably great as a general use screwdriver.

The rolling cabinet that I've been set on getting reminded me of that Gedore setup.

I like work stations like that; wish I have the space and $$$$ for such units.
And LOL at the shots of tools in the kitchen drawers.

the shipping will kill the prices i think and i also don`t want to spend 4 digit sums for a toolbox i think that`s too much ( my monte carlo i bought was 1400 Euro = 1200 GBP = 2000 $ )..... a tool box should be always much less $$ than a car i think :)

This one here from Anex has the spinning cap i think ? (1770 series)
nice idea !

1770-001.jpg

excel never heard of them but their boxes look ok , but still prefer Gedore etc.
A more modern Design from "Garant", i like that too:

Yup yup, that's the one from Anex. Your net searching skills never ceases to amaze me. :wtf:

Excel boxes are just average DIY level stuff; can even compare to professional level stuff. It's just that the retractable back panel on the Excel reminded me of the Gedore.

Hah, the Garant 'Assistent'! :pimpflash

hey, I didn't know someone else made the assistant. That's pretty cool. Is FORMAT the only one that makes the bars that fold down?

I always thought the bars on the Gedore Assistant were fixed.
I guess in German it's "assistent"?

Also, I'm interested in how this Gedore workbench works. It looks like the handle can be recessed, however in that case it would take up space from the cabinet.

Hazet is the one you associate with the Assistent--yup, that's the 'correct' spelling. :)

The way you see it on the picture is the static position, but if you lift the bar up it actuates the hydraulic raising mechanism, allowing you to manouver the bench with its suspension.

The bars are foldable so you can store the cart under a workbench or in a trunk of a car. Hazet is the maker of all of them ( at least the ones which sell around $ 620 - $700) there are knock-offs from china which sell for around $ 90.-.
