I would look at the Astro 4980 over the SnapOn, Eric O just put this video up yesterday.

Not bad! I too have been waiting on a decent air hammer deal from SO. Best was about six months ago they were $40 off I believe.

Anyone got a link to an air hammer shoot out?

Now that's pretty. I've been waiting for the Snap On air hammer to go on promo for a while, no dice yet. But I love my SLP cut off tool, and will definitely buy more from them. I'd appreciate if you could update after you use this for a while, or if you can compare how hard it hits to other common air hammers. Thanks!

I'll have to find some things to use it on. It's not something I use very often. But I think it should be pretty good. I've been very satisfied with my die grinders so far. It was a little more expensive than some brands. But hey it's all USA made.

Nice wiha and wera.
thanks! Was surprised when they were the laser tips. Didnt say that in description.

What brand are the burrs? Mind if I ask a price?

Umm well.. the brand is lawsons, (simmilar to acklands) i dont know who the manufacturer is or price. They came in an order and my boss just handed them to me and said keep them. It was an 8 piece set. I filled in the rest with HTC Tool burrs. Those were about 15$ a piece for the smaller ones. The larger flat cylinder was around 25-30 All carbide. Sorry i couldnt be more help on the burrs.

Edit: set on ebay for 185 cad. 13 piece though.

I saw that vid. I'm a fan of Eric O. and SMA, and I'm subscribed. I saw the first vid he did back when he got "Big Nasty" for the first time. Thanks for the heads up though!

I'm sure Astro makes great tools, and the Astro folks that frequent this board are definitely good people, but unfortunately their air hammer does not meet my "Made in USA" requirement and lacks a quick change chuck--both deal breakers for me.

Just a couple small but very useful items showed up today. An OTC battery post cleaner - I've always just used the wire brush type tool but I like this one a lot better - and a 10mm wrench / bottle opener which was a freebie courtesy of Chris @ Astro Pneumatic Tools. Luv it!

I've been looking for this specific wrench (used) for about three months. Came in the mail today. Still need one more to complete my set.

What's in the case Ruger? Nice drill!

It's a little hard to tell at that angle but I'm going to venture a guess that's a refractometer in the case.

edit: Looks like one I used to use to measure the coolant levels in Haven tube cutter and cold saw machines. IIRC they are also used for beer and wine making and beekeepers, etc. Lots of varying uses.

Also used for urinalysis... I just bartered mine to a large animal veterinarian.

You will like those trays I had both those and the kobalt trays. Like the HF ones a lot better. Impact sockets were the only sockets that the fit was tight.

I've already got a set I use at work, and I'm not about to buy Hansen trays because I can't justify spending that much more lol
Was also scoping out the 72" box as well
