After missing out on the ratchets, I did a quick skim over the tables and saw A Snap-On box that said, "29 Piece Cobalt Drill Bit Set"... Hmm... Quickly opened it up and all the bits were there, most unused, a few looked like they drilled into sheetrock... For $12 they went in my bag

You ****, ****, **** on those twist drills, Jason.

Stopped at an estate sale Friday where the shop was bigger than the house. It’s good to see a man with his priorities straight. Picked up a Makita grinder, gear puller, a few small clamps, and a hitch lock. The rest is Klein, Channellock, and a Ridgid clamp.

Stopped in to a "MECHANIC'S DREAM...TOOLS, TOOLS, TOOLS!!!" yardsale. They had an impressive array of stuff, but nothing priced to sell. Estate sale prices have spoiled me for yard sales--I left empty handed.

Last week I went to the best yardsale I've ever been to, and he had another one this weekend. This time I found stuff even better than Snap On.

Ruger Single 10 in mint condition for $100. His price, I didnt even haggle. A 10 shot revolver.
View media item 86148
Mossberg 500 20 gauge for $100 hardly used.
View media item 86150
New gun cleaning kit for $5
View media item 86153
Bluepoint brake caliper press. $10
View media item 86152
Set of Mayhew pilot punches. $3
View media item 86149
Snap On grill set new, except I used them already....$5
View media item 86151

He still has more stuff that I would like to have but I'm out of fun money for now.

So I hit two ES's and a yard sale. The first one I went too looked the most promising from pics, but it was an hour away. Prices were great, but it was clear that the family had gone through it beforehand. Lotta junk, old tractors, but not many tools. I managed to scrounge a few things though:
x22t6p.jpg

Letter punch set (missing the S and the K...) Snap-on, Proto and Power Kraft 3/8's drive tools, Indestro puller, a small red tray for sorting and a P&C extension. All for $2.
The next stop was the one I should have hit first, but they focused on the wrong stuff for the pics. Great old shop, nice Delta tools, cool old Dodge truck for sale, but they put up pics of Xmas stuff? In any case, I picked up the following:
2mmsnie.jpg

Stanley marking gauge, Proto LA 3/4 extension and socket (out of the pic), MAC woodies, drag link sockets (including one Plomb rope braid!) Plomb single end wrenches from the '20's, spark plug gap tool, Bog ratchet and Blue Point cape chisel. Oh and this:
23tzk5.jpg

It was just hanging on the wall, so I couldn't leave it behind! $35 for all that.
The garage sale was just around the corner, so I picked up the following:
23tzk5.jpg

Two Williams clamps and a stool. The stool I needed for working on my bicycle, and I saw some misc. tools in among the **** inside so I paid $10 for all that. Here are the tools I found worthwhile:
1rpulg.jpg

Proto and Craftsman sockets, Ace small driver, Brass Craft hook spanner, Stanley nail sets and a pair of Artisan pliers. Then I went and got some onion rings.

You all ****. I went to 5 sales this morning and all I saw was 20+ year old broken electronics, baby clothes, and dishes.

I had high hopes for a sale this morning from the pictures posted online. Unfortunately I was a bit lazy this morning, and they apparently didn't adhere to their 8AM start time. Place was pretty well picked over by the time I got there at 8:05. :hitit

Still grabbed this for 10$:

Gray Canada DBE
Craftsman -v- 8mm combo

MasterCraft 5-pc Torx set. 4 of the 5 are Comfo Grips made in Canada. I really like these hard handles. The other one is a later style made in Canada also but I'll track down the right one eventually.
Craftsman crown top drill bit grinding attachment. I'm a sucker for things in their original boxes.

Yup, you ****.

If there is anybody around the Cincinnati area, he still has some nice tools and things for sale. Some Snap On things, all tools left. PM me and I will send you info.

I did just stop by because I had to visit his neighbor, and wound up buying a single shot 12 gauge for $50, but I dont think he has any other guns for sale.

I was meeting someone this morning to sell those two Snap-On toolboxes I bought a couple of days ago. Stopped at a yard sale before that and picked up a couple of things. A roll of aluminum screen, 5 packs of pellets and a 1/4 HP Dunlap motor 1750 RPM that hummed but didn't spin the pulley. Cost: $4. I'll replace the cord, it's got half a dozen breaks in it, and clean it up in hopes of getting it going to use with my Prairie G5 wet grindstone I got a couple of weeks ago. I don't have a pellet gun. Yet.

"Small chip out of the top side silver trim"? I'll give you $15. ;0) I'm not a SO guy but that's a nice looking box for $20!

We went to several garage sales around S Lake Tahoe and picked up quite a few tools at good prices. The first picture is everything, the second some S-K combos. Next is a Plomb 3/8” speeder and a 7/16” socket. The Plomb punch has the brand ground off, the early locking pliers are Husky. Next is a Lufkin 12’ tape and last are some PowrKraft large combos.

I've been looking for sawzall. Pics for an estate sale had a metal Milwaukee case in the corner of one pic but no pics of the contents. Sale started friday but I couldn't go til later this morning. I figured it would be gone or overpriced. Got them to come off posted price quite a bit as half price was about to start. It is missing the pivot foot but functions perfect.c53879fa0e46cf1dce487831e1c2511c.jpg

Only went to one garage sale today and spent $8 on 7 files, Walworth pipewrench, S-K 3/8 speed wrench, Craftsman pliers, weeding tool, screwdriver, linesman pliers, test light and a Cleve Dent tooth extraction tool.

Also went to my favorite vintage toy store and got a Nylint Emergency Truck made from 1963 to 1967 for $45.89961910c30b74c7c008312731c7ac20.jpg14a829d472d3f9c5c70a16d32038b7fe.jpgf58d2ffde9696cfdd04a3f1173b3bd02.jpg

He still has more. Go check it out. I went there 6 times and I was the only one there. He still had a few Snap On tools, and other misc. Worth checking it out. I am out of money or I would buy more.

I did well at the sales this weekend and will be posting everything up later but wanted to ask about this. Any info on it would be appreciated as well as possible value if any. I really have no need for it but figured for $5 I couldn’t leave it behind.

It's a Craftsman motor.

But seriously, there should be an info tag on it somewhere, that will have the RPM, HP, etc on it. And if it works, it isn't bad at $5.
