Hate to break it to ya but Bonney made angle wrenches up to 2". Full polish up to 1 1/4", satin on the larger ones.
I used to know a guy who liked Bonney angle wrenches for removing Trane A/C compressors. And he had big un's! The 2"er is a beast. :shocking:

Well, my Bonneys are full polish, so I only NEED to go up to 1.25" for THIS set. If I went further, then I'd need to find a different pouch (not that I use pouches, but hey, that's a whole 'nother mess) My MAC set goes up to 1.5", so I'm MOSTLY covered on doubling up for hydraulic lines and fittings. And I have a nice shiny set of King **** Whitworth DOE's (not angle, but it still suppressed my "need" reflex!)

Who made this? Only one I have seen.
I have a wrench that looks similar in style (those large oval heads with small openings), but it doesn't have markings like that. I am on the road. When I get home I will have to go through my stuff to find it and see who made it. Speaking of the markings, what do you make of the "12" and the "14"? Whether the 1/4" and 5/16" are milled openings or bolt sizes, it doesn't quite work as millimeters, does it? BHM made a set of angle wrenches with hex throats, and they did have a propensity for metric and imperial markings, but again, unless I am just not thinking straight, it doesn't quite work.

Yeah, I like to have complete sets, too.

Here is a rather stout version. Its about 8" long and 3/8" thick.
No marking other than the hand-stamped 388.
Looks to be hand-forged with hand-filed openings.

I don't expect to find a complete set!

Nice!

I've got some like your Elora's. For buried panel screws that 90 deg end really can save one's ****!

Picked up some angle wrenches at a used tool store yesterday.

A Williams 1140, a Snap-on AC-1818, and a pair of Duro-Chromes.

Here's a "SPECIAL" angle wrench. Textile-pattern? By whom?

Here's a sweet Bonney set i put together going from 3/8-1 1/4 full polish (came with the vinyl roll) then 1 3/8- 2 in satin that i grabbed from Epstien's . I keep my eye out for a small 1/4, a 5/16, and a big 1 3/16 if they made that size and I think it would totally complete.

Nice set! Definitely jealous!

3/8" is the smallest SAE angle Bonney made. Offhand I can't remember if 1 3/16" is a size.
The largest full polish is 1 1/4", bigger than that goes satin. So you're pretty much set.

If you're looking to complete that set, these wrenches are not at all rare, and I'm sure you could find them online eventually. Not sure about in the wild in Norway. I have extras. They're yours for free if you want them. You just have to pay the freight.

I had a set of Sunex at work 5 years ago, then borrowed a Snap on in a size I didn't have from a coworker. After that started buying the Snap Ons. Bought the smaller set up to 3/4 used fairly reasonable and bought the rest a few at a time over a year or so. The complete set from Snap On was 2800+ at that point! I will say the Sunex wrenches are ok with the 15/60 angles, but 15 is the same as a standard open end wrench. The Snap Ons at that time were the only ones I could find that offered the 30/60. So now that gives me 15, 30, and 60. Which when working on manlifts and heavier equipment with hydraulic everything just makes my life easier. Yes it was alot of money to spend, but I has also kept me in good graces of the Snap on man...so when I have something broken I didnt buy from him, likely bought from a flea market or yard sale, he doesn't give me too much grief.

Well, I’d be happy to trade with you. Or, I could send you those that you might need if I have duplicates. We’ve both been working on this set for awhile now. I’d really like to complete it!

Yup, got an odd Fairmount or two floating around somewhere that match up. AIR, my metric Mac set appear identical as well, although haven't dug them out side-by-side in awhile.

If not identical, sharing many characteristics, most especially the extremely skinny shanks and hex throats. I've talked about this before, probably on this very thread, but I'll say it again. It can't be coincidence that Cornwell, Fairmount (later Houdaille Fairmount, later Martin), MAC, and Vanadium Tool Co. all made the same style wrenches, all in Ahia. They either copied off each other or the die makers were sharing designs vis-a-vis some loose association.

I'm right there with ya Lugs, my Macs date back at least 30 years and Mac has a long history (pre-Stanley) of sourcing tools from other manufacturers.

Nice offer but I think we've exchanged lists a couple times and we don't have spares the other guy need. I'm glad to see your collection growing, though! (y)
