It should be noted that Herbrand and Vlchek were not part of the club, though. It seems regional, but not exhaustively.If not identical, sharing many characteristics, most especially the extremely skinny shanks and hex throats. I've talked about this before, probably on this very thread, but I'll say it again. It can't be coincidence that Cornwell, Fairmount (later Houdaille Fairmount, later Martin), MAC, and Vanadium Tool Co. all made the same style wrenches, all in Ahia. They either copied off each other or the die makers were sharing designs vis-a-vis some loose association.
Hopefully without letting too much of the proverbial cat out of the proverbial bag, I have it on pretty good authority that @misterbill is working on something deep dive-y on this topic. I, for one, am very eager to see what he comes up with.
