I keep my stubby gear wrenches on a magnetic bar,
I have another set on a wrench rack that I bought off of the tool truck
My most used set, I copied the one bought off the tool truck. I traced it out on paper. I then transferred the pattern to a piece of aluminum pulled from the scrap pile. I then used a drill and die grinder to cut out the slots.

Shows us your ideas for wrench organizers. I like having 2 of each size together, so came up with a quick 'proof of design' a few years back & need to make a better version. Show us what you have or at least give ideas for an improved version.

Thanks guys...I like to be organized, well at least when it come to tools. I hate loosing them. I did the same with my Socket Set. Made some of these back in the day from cold roll steel and they have rusted a little over the last 20 years. Was just thinking this morning I should redo them from Stainless. Might be a project in the next coming weeks.

Those extension holders are just tasty. I use kitchen drawer organizers.

Ernst wrench rails here. Not perfect but works fairly well. They are easy to cut to length.

Would you ever be interested in selling those extension organizers?

I don't know where I got this idea, but it is cheap and works great.

I did that for my punches and chisels, bought several from HF and used a dab from a glue gun to keep the tabs from moving once I figured what I wanted where.

only bought one set of wrench rails, got low profile ones. I was paranoid about them sticking up too far in a short drawer. I mostly use the plastic **** that sets come in. So long as I can quickly find what I'm looking for and don't waste too much space.

I should invest in some stubby wrenches

I’m currently using Ernst grippers but I’m looking to reorganize somewhat. That socket rail trick is smart!

One more repurposed option and/or cheap solution: Wire shelving. You can be more careful in your approach making these so you don't gouge up the powder coat like I did and also put caps on the end of the wires to make them look better. I'm not really that concerned with how they look and just wanted to save a little drawer space as cheaply as possible for one of my boxes. About $15 worth of wire shelving made a heap of wrench organizers and plier racks.

I was hoping the "EZ RED" ones would work totally inverted, nope, so I sent them back to Amazon. I want something to hold gear wrench ratchet wrenches on the inside of my HF 5 drawer lid.

willbird, I have my Gearwrenches on the lid of my cart with these holders.

In the time that it took to take this picture, and post this, I cannot think of what brand they are, or what they are really made for. Screwdrivers maybe?

I do not close my lid, so that is not an issue with me. May be for you though.

HTH, Ramblin Man
