Cool, I am in. A few of us were just discussing Allen Brand tools, I have been buying some of the USA made sockets and such. Those "Allen Wrenches" would be a great addition to my shop :) Thanks for doing this.

it's simple. If you don't like it, don't enter. no need to comment on something just to be negative. If you don't like it, ignore it. Not everybody wants to hear your opinion on everything. Don't like it? Start a thread and ***** there. Don't hi-jack their thread. Simple as that!
The problem that some of us see it as they are hi-jacking the forum. Using an established tool forum to promote their product without contributing. They are giving away what essentially cost them what $10.00 but have gained tons of free advertising.

Exactly what I was thinking.

I don't care where they are made, if I win, I'll be using them. I like to buy American, just like a lot of people on here, but I don't go around and ***** if someone else doesn't.

I get your point but if it wasn't for people who piss and moan ***** and complain and raise hell about keeping a quality name brand tool in the states there wont be any. Maybe the REP for allen will look at this and make some comments at the next meeting expressing the concerns we as a community have for USA made tool. Or maybe he just got a bunch of free advertising for almost nothing.

I would like to enter the drawing. If I win and they are made in the USA, send em to me. If i win and they are made overseas, shove em up your ***.

Sadly that won't happen cause of the 100+ people who want a set of free hex keys and the very small few who are not interested in imported tools. What this thread did is prove to them that 99% of customers don't care about COO.

Not only does the 99% thing piss me off but they are taking a what someone else created put time and effort into creating, establishing, and working on for years just to USE it for their own personal gain. Give nothing, take everything and ship a name overseas. The last time I was at sears some allen thandles were on sale and noticed they were not USA, I can not vouch for these because they are a "new line"

Looks good. Count me in. Our sons already have some Allen products that we gave them to get started -- 18 pc. screwdriver sets (66625G), 5 pc. pliers sets (66603G) and 3 pc. adjustable wrench sets (66612G). Hex keys would be a nice addition.

As a retired product line manager, I can't help but thinking about the interesting "data" that the various posts to this thread provide. Could segment the responses into Strongly Support, Support, No Strong Opinion for made in the USA products. Probably not what "Allen Brand" had originally intended but it is a bit of an unintended "focus group".

In only 3 posts Apex Tool Group by way of Allen Brand, proved that COO doesn't matter to people as long as the tools are free.
